224 people dead in airplane crash over Egyptian desert

What a tragedy. A Russian airplane heading for St. Petersburg crashed over the Sinai Peninsula on Saturday, killing all 224 people on board instantly. It makes me SICK and SAD to see this happen all the time.
A Russian operator says this is most likely caused by an external impact. Could it be ISIS or Egyptian rebels? Gotta put them away before they cause something huge here.

Too soon to determine the cause, it's all speculation at this point. However near the beginning of this article it mentions an incident from 2001. Improperly repaired damage from that incident is a possibility as well. http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/russian-mo ... -1.3299427

Reminds of JAL 123 in 1985 (Worst single air crash in history) and China Airlines 611 in 2002. Both were caused by improperly repaired damage.

Will have to wait and see what further details come in the the coming days however.

I doubt that was ISIS.

They don't really have the capability to take down planes like that...

One Russian woman AFAIK a relative of one of the passengers did stand up against the airline company saying there had been complaints about technical problems with the plane before. But who knows really, ISIS can assume responsibility just for the sake of publication I guess, but if it is indeed the 1% that they took it out, damn that's already scary.

I heard on the way to work on the radio that it was in fact a bomb... but yeah... Australian radio doesn't have much merit.
