They say the coward "surrendered" at 1652 MT. I'm saddened they got him alive. He supposedly left explosives behind so the ordeal is still not over for investigators. "Official" tally: 11 total hit, 5 were law enforcement.

These are the terrorists Americans should be far more aware of.

But I bet they won't get labeled as such in the media.

My friends told me in person earlier. Pro-lead is not pro life.

The first to go is always the good name of the agressor, so you won't see me clicking them anymore. This is a disease we need to eradicate not so differently from any other endemic plague. No attacks at its' root, no town crier mentality, just syntesize antibodies and let the faceless fry.

The suspect is reported to be a 57 year old man.

There was a small article about this in my local media, and what they stated about the guy's personality made me think that the guy must surely be schizoid. Any one know if he has any diagnosis?

I agree. The double standard is ridiculous. The media should report a christian terrorist because that's what it was.

I find it fascinating just how little is being released by the police & media, given the obvious context and the rhetoric of certain political candidates lately.

From what I have read so far the guy is not overly religious.

My main concern is that he will be diagnosed with ASD. This would not be a good thing coming after it has been reported the White House fence jumper is an Aspie. The "obvious" traits have been described reclusive, lack of eye contact has been mentioned a lot, wierd, off etc. I doubt has he has been diagnosed with anything because he has been so reclusive but now a a psychiatric exam has been ordered.

When one of the incidents happens, the person is typically found to have a handful of mental illnesses.

And what does the media do?

Rather than look at the way we as a culture ignore mental health in our health care system, and instead of examining how social services for mentally ill people has been pretty much eliminated since Regan, and instead of looking at how our culture treats mental illness as a moral failing even today...they play up the "unpredictability" and the scariness of anyone who is neural atypical. Because for the bulk of the bell curve, it sells clicks and gets commercials watched.

Even before I was thinking about Autism, never mind connecting it with me I did worry that people would think I am a potential psycho killer because the most descriptions of them were descriptions of me quiet, nervous a bit weird but seemingly nice and harmless.

There is a double standard, the media does not usually describe politically or socially motivated attacks done by non Muslims as acts of terrorism. We saw that recently in Charleston where Roof deliberately targeted that church for its symbolic value and had a clear political social motive. I was glad to see virently anti abortion

I am actually glad, now he doesn't get the opportunity to die in a 'blaze of glory' via getting shot by the cops or shooting himself before they could shoot him. Any second thoughts about the whole matter now will have plenty of time to haunt him.

I wouldn't entirely trust media reports on the guys personality just yet...especially if they are trying to jump on mental illness/conditions. So far sounds like he knowingly shot up a planned parenthood clinic out of opposition to abortion and the organization sounds more like terrorism than a case of mental illness induced freak out.
