I hope the christian science monitor's conclusions about cruz's chances of winning the general election are an example of confirmation bias.
Let alone the other muppet.

Ehh, the GOP has tried nominating a "moderate" two elections running, and lost both times. Why not try an actual conservative this time?

Americans pick the more optimistic candidate. When was the last time that didn't happen? The guy who says everything is wrong (even if true) and sacrifice is needed (even if true) will lose.

Reagan's optimism beat Carter and Mondale. Bush's optimism beat Gore and Kerry. In order to win the Republicans will have to pick a candidate able to see the bright side of things.

That.... Seems disturbingly insightful.

You honestly think Donalt Trump is a real conservative? You think someone with a typical high-school bully is the best person to run a country?

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for Trump winning the nomination. If I could register as a Republican I would vote for him myself. Screw the Republican Party.

That person does not exist in the current field.

Most Republicans only care about the richest 1 percent of Americans rather than caring about the needs of the lower 99 percent.

Bad talking point. Why do people think GOP values are only for rich folks?

Ted Cruz is nowhere near Trump in the polls, he maybe in 2nd place but it's 20 points behind!

Donald Trump isn't a conservative in any way, shape, or form. Policywise he is a Democrat who hates immigrants. I was ignoring the comparison of Trump to Goldwater, because it doesn't make a lick of sense.

The last two go-arounds our choice was between Democrat and Democrat Lite. I would like to have a real choice this time.

Donald Trump is a master communicator, its the way he shrugs his shoulders, he lifts his eye brows.

Only he can say "I'm a genius" without offending his fans.

He is the archetypal neurotypical alpha male.

Of course all politicians are playing his game but he does it with such spectacle that we can see the game being played out in its naked essence.

Of course I'm as frightened as any one that he might become president.

He's a picture of human corruption.

Sorry but if I didn't look at Donald Trump as a specimen of animal I would get very angry.

To describe Donald Trump as a politician in fact does not describe him properly.

He is a salesman looking to close a deal. His policies are simply popularism packaged for the masses.

"Immigrants out", "guns are great", "spend more money on defence". Appeal to the lowest common denominator.
If these weren't popular opinions, its doubtful he would be running on these platforms.

But that is emblematic of the neurotypical mind, be pragmatic, say whatever is necessary to reach a certain goal.
Because the ends justifies the means.

You actually believe that? Wow, you've swallowed the media lies hook line and sinker.

There is no difference between Republican politicians and Democrat politicians. The real 1 percent is the politician class. The real class warfare is the politicians versus the PEOPLE.

I was under the impression the politicians were elected by the people in something called a democracry and that politicians were serving the people in a manner.

I wasn't under the impression that Americans were being ruled by their politicians, but perhaps I am wrong after all I don't live there.

Perhaps America should become like China where the government rules the people absolutely unapologetically.
And these hypocritical notions of freedom of speech and democracy can be gotten rid of.

Its just a thought.
