She gets points for origionality I guess. Its just part of the human condition - if it wasnt guns it would be knives , flails, pointy sticks with each banned until the day comes when someone is killed with a cheeseburger.

Without gun control if a psychopath goes on a rampage at least there's some chance they were dumb enough to buy the gun at a store, and in that case the weapon can be traced. But it they are forced to aquire a firearm illegally then all bets are off. You're f'cked for finding them if they get away and people still die.

A flail? As sad as that is I can't help but laugh. I've always liked that weapon and I almost bought one myself at one point. I don't think I'd ever attack anyone with it, though. That's crazy.

It's nice that most schools are gun free zones.

It would make more sense to put up signs that said,

I do have a small medieval weapon collection, but I would never attack anyone with them because I'm not a violent person. I have dogs who are half German shepherd who would alert me to someone trying to break in, giving me time to call the police.

As far as any SCA member going postal, if that were to happen, they'd get banned from that organization for life.

Criminals dont care if guns are banned, theyre going to use any means to get guns anyway and the law abiding citizens will have very limited if any protection against them. Gun control is for complete dumbasses.

You could not even get otherwise law abiding citizens like myself to turn in their guns. How are you going to get the ones we're trying to protect ourselves from to hand over theirs? Even in the states and cities with the strictest gun laws they have rampant crime. Go figure.
Calling 911 is not a good thing to rely on very much. I've seen it fail. Not able to get through to 911 from my cell phone for a bad accident on the freeway was the first. Second was when I called 911 on behalf of my next door neighbors when they came home and thought someone was in their house. I got through to 911 but the cops took their sweet a$$ time getting here then more time just getting out of the patrol car. It was unbeleivable!
You have to take care of yourself. That's pretty much the bottom line.
