Lib Dem peer Lord Clement-Jones said a report had recommended the move in 2002, yet nothing had been done.

For the government, Lord Bassam said a review was under way and would report back in September.


This perhaps isn't relevant to all of us here as this is a worldwide Asperger's board but I thought I'd post it up for discussion in any case.

They only give them to carers, my mums got one and i find this story outrageous

It's a little different in the US, and all it's just a handicapped sticker. Kudos to the UK.

I think it's good in a way, since AS isn't really a disability, in most cases. Other than that, I'd be a little warry about the muggers, out there. I guess I have mixed feelings, reguarding the Blue card.

I think it's for the very severely autistic ones that need carers and isn't meant for those who can drive and get about under their own steam.
