What's the problem?

I'm sure she wasn't resisting, and I'm sure she was arrested (if she was) without incident.

You mean the armor? Eh, that's so they don't get hurt (the reasons why this is a good thing are evident, and it's as much for the protestors as the police).

Protests and so on are unpredictable- cops have EVERY right to protect themselves, period. It's a safety issue. Even if people look innocent, there is no good guess that the people will BE innocent.
