I'm 50% Scottish on my mother's side, and she may spin in her grave for me to say this, but seriously, let 'em. Buh-bye. That little hobbit can take her country and flounce off.

I'm not a supporter of Scottish independence (not yet, anyway) but Nicola Sturgeon is one of the few politicians who
have acted with respect, fairness, integrity, urgency and decisiveness in reacting to a situation that has arisen through
internal squabbles in the main UK political parties, some of whom have been shown up as deceitful,self-serving,
untrustworthy and manipulative.

It would probably fail again since the EU is a rotting corpse, do the Scottish hate the English so much that they're that desperate to join that sinking ship? Would Scotland like to be independent and alone without the EU, that would be the more likely scenario it seems. France is going to leave whenever they have a referendum, Netherlands/Denmark/Finland/Austria probably as well. It's falling apart at the seams, Scotland is on a island but the EU will make them take quota of refugees.

The only legal way for Scotland to be part of the E.U. is to become an independent sovereign nation. It must secure its independence from the U.K.

I'm sorry but this guy just boasts a load of crap.

The idiot even stated that Wales wanted to 'remain' in. I don't think so. The majority was actually for leave.

London, Edinburgh and other rich constituencies, were remainers but the hard workers, like places where the steel industries got no backing or word of investment from that Sajid David guy, took a stand and voted out.

I agree about Smith, his speech was cringeworthy, but the voting pattern wasn't as simple as rich = remain, hard workers = leave. Remain won in Cardiff,Liverpool and Manchester proper as well as all 32 electoral districts in Scotland
which includes the 'steeltown' of Motherwell. It was Margaret Thatcher's policies that closed the vast steelworks there at Ravenscraig, one of the largest in Europe.

Yes, I know Cardiff did, another big Capitalist city. It was a sore point for Wales on the whole.

Gareth Bale is from there, I'm not a huge supporter.

Independence is important for Scotland, but to join the European Union as a result of independence?!? "Frying pan" "fire" and such. So, let Scotland go that route and it will gain independence. But, the E.U. will be gone and forgotten in the next five years, anyway.

The problem lies with her thinking. She first made a statement that she wanted to carry on using the pound in the first Scottish referendum, now she admits to being 'Europhile' instead of 'Unionist', which to me, spells tragedy for the union, never mind bemusing the Eurosceptics over a supposed joint sovereignity which in itself is hand made separatist delusion if ever I witnessed such a craft.

The E.U 'diplomats' are boycotting the entire vote now unto their own seedy little agenda.

Theresa May is trying o save our Islands Union. I don't like this woman, she has to go, now.

This, is an unhappy ending for all if taken shape.

Just to be clear on region, I've got a chart from the BBC on the electoral poll result.

I had forefathers who worked in the mines, so I know the whole valleys voted to come out. Pontypridd was equal, but you look at Mthyr Tydril and others like Abergavenny, and all the other mining and steel industries were to leave.

You shouldn't undermine gays as being the only part trans-operative solution to your remain in Europe problem. If you're looking for tax free investments, you'd best look to the Bahamas or the like.

I want to know if your creek is as full of s**t as your mouth thus far.

The island reserve is still there, even if the Scottish rebels want to block our treaties with their incompetant fantasies and illusions.
