The reason why I'm posting this, is because trying to figure-out how the school-bus tore-up the city bus, is SOOOO baffling to me. I can understand how the school-bus tore-up the FRONT (they hit, almost dead-on), and along the side----what I CAN'T understand, is how the school-bus "landed" the WAY that it did. I would've thought the school-bus' back-end would be closer to the city bus' FRONT-end (meaning, pretty much, totally side-by-side). It almost seems like one thing hit the front of the city bus, and then the school-bus plowed into the back. It's SO strange. (BTW, there were NO children onboard the school-bus.)
Now, I know none of us could say for SURE----because none of us were there----but, I just thought somebody else might like to take a crack at how the school-bus ended-up where it did.

I just happened to think of a possible scenario..... The school-bus hit the FRONT of the city bus, then continued part-way down the side; then, the driver swerved to the right, then something made him swerve BACK to the left, where he actually entered the city bus. I thought of this scenario, earlier----but, I figured if he swerved right then back again, the city bus would've already traveled past the school-bus; but, NOW, I'm thinking the city bus would've stopped when it was hit----or, stopped BECAUSE OF the hit----so, the city bus would've still been there, when the school-bus swerved back to the left.
I think another interesting thing to note, is that there were NO skid-marks on the pavement----indicating that the brakes weren't applied (maybe they COULDN'T be applied----maybe THAT'S the cause). I'm thinking, maybe, heart-attack or seizure, otherwise (they, of course, will do an autopsy on the school-bus driver). Also, there was an aide on the school-bus----it's possible that he tried to assist, and that's when the school-bus swerved to the right (if it did); then, maybe, the bus driver stirred / came-to / whatever, grabbed the wheel, over-corrected, and swerved BACK, into the city bus (if that's what happened)----but then, I would think there would be skid-marks. I dunno..... Just Aspie-analyzing, here..... It has been more disturbing to me, than "usual", because I so often travel on the MTA, and was on one, recently, when a car crashed into it----no one was hurt, though (not even the one person PRETENDING to be).
The school-bus aide survived----I can't WAIT, to hear what happened.

Dont know what happened.
But it looks like the school bus somehow rammed the city bus three seperate times from that pic.
The city bus has two massive indentations on its left side (each the width of the school bus)forward from the point were the school bus came to a rest with its front plowed into the city bus.
