12 are dead and dozens are wounded after a plane crashed just after takeoff in Kazakhstan,the plane carried over 100 people.

The Fokker 100 aircraft got into trouble just after takeoff after departing Almaty,the central Asian country's commercial center.It lost altitude during takeoff and broke through a concrete fence before hitting a building,it's not clear right now what caused the crash.

So close to takeoff it could have been birds inside the engines too.

Do you know if the black box has been recovered?

Reuters didn't say, I would imagine there analyzing it now and will release the results soon.
It usually takes a week for a black box to be comprehensively analyzed.

Oh, ok, I thought the black box was about as simple as playing a digital recording like a CD or something. I didn't know it takes a week.

I don't know for sure either but I'm going by lag time in the news from other plane crashes.

you also must remember they have to locate the box in a hill of rubble too.Im just guessing really

Yeah, I think locating it is the tricky part, is why I asked if they found it yet.

The captain of the Bek Air flight airplane is among the dead,there is an investigation underway and results should be released by January 10th 2020,there is no word of the black box yet.

Kazakh prime minister Askar Mamin said the goverment would allocate 4 million tenge(10,500 euros)to all families of those who were killed in the crash.
