I think quite a few of the staunchly pro-2nd Amendment people aren't just pro-guns-for-self-defense. I think many of them are stockpiling weapons for a future race war.

Governor Ralph "Blackface" Northam claims he has received credible intelligence from law enforcement agencies that out-of-state militia groups, white nationalists, and hate groups will arrive in Richmond to intimidate and cause harm.

It isn't so much the gun nuts we have to worry about, it's the nuts with guns that cause all the problems.

White supremacists are always talking about a “race war.” Charles Manson was also into the idea.

Recent white supremacist types have been greatly influenced by a novel called “The Turner Diaries,” which is about a race war.

Medieval weaponry, as mentioned by Fnord, has already been co-opted by the weeaboo. I haven't "studied the blade." That is truly unfortunate, because, unlike firearms, medieval arms look like great cardio.

But people like those protesters are the reason I will never join the National Rifle Association. It's another special interest group only interested in providing a "safe space" for a bunch of SJW who go about claiming the world is out to get them and that they must rise up against the "system." Still if the government of the state had to declare an emergency and ban guns from the area, there must have been some credible threats. But yes Salon.com is quite biased, so generally maybe not a great source.

I am curious how far the ban goes as far as the inclusion of "other weapons." Are they only talking about banning instruments used for hunting zombies or are they envoking airport security rules where you can't even carry a small pocket knife?
