The smell of roses will improve my chance of having a migraine by 100%, meaning I wouldn't be able to learn anything.

Varies. Bleach and hospital smells really effect me. Walking through a shop with an isle of soaps or an isle with perfumes will effect me. Clothes and carpet shops effect me.
I am not sure about roses. If the lovely smell comes direct from a real rose I am guessing I would be less effected then if I came into contact with a spray scent of a rose. But without trying it out I would not know... I know certain spray oils like GT85 I was using the last time I worked were effecting me. When at home and I need to use them, I take the bicycle or whatever it is outside so I am less exposed to the scent.

I got a wild idea and found an article that says rosemary appears to have a similar effect if that would reduce the migraine chance.

Basil appears to be a good choice too

I'm ok with smelling an actual rose, but I don't just dislike the smell of rose fragrance, I HATE the smell. All the nuns at Catholic grade school would slather on this certain rose scented hand lotion and I hated the smell.

I'm weird, I dislike almost all floral scents, whether real or fake. There's just some aspect to the smell of real flowers that I don't like, and fake flowery scents are just nasty. The only exception I've found so far is lavender, but even that can't be too strong.

I love the smell of roses. It is one of my favorite smells. I like a lot of smells and am smell oriented. Now that I know it will help my learning, I will set it up in my office and in the bedroom. How wonderful!

I do understand many people are sensitive to many smells, and I hate it when someone has worn too much perfume, for example. But all floral smells coming out of the flowers is heaven to me.

There must be some element of benefit (or at least perceived benefit) from smelling roses or drinking rosehip tea. The ancient Persians used rosewater as a beverage and as an addition to sweets which today we call Turkish delight.

Apothecary's rose is easy to grow in climates with cold winters. Dried petals have a nice fragrance.
