I got to shut down the trails two years ago at a visitor center due to a grizzly got caught up with the morning traffic. Earlier that season, they had to trap a male that had become food trained and was visiting a campground. The human traffic near Yellowstone during the season is unreal and there are a lot of bears in that area.

Beautiful animals but deadly.

Benefits:
You'll be able to answer the eternal question "does the bear sh*t in the woods?"

Lived near three black bears last summer. I only saw one and it ran from a small dog.

Keep your trash outside and hang a camera above it. You'll see 'em.

That wouldn’t be good form for a photographer, search for the ethics and it will amaze you the effort they put into not to interfere with them. The flipside is there is one in the Grand Tetons that has her own facebook page and wiki, grizzly 399.

A guy who reviews rodent traps on YouTube uses dead rodents for bait near his trail cams. He does not use poison.
