Russia’s Blameless OnlyFans Stars Say They’ve Been Banned After Putin’s Invasion of Ukraine

The London-based adult subscriber service OnlyFans is removing accounts of content creators in both Russia and Belarus, according to some of the site’s stars.

It is unclear if the apparent changes are a political move or if new sanctions imposed on Russia in the aftermath of the invasion of Ukraine have made it impossible for the women to be paid via the site. OnlyFans star @kitty, 21, told The Daily Beast that she has no income except for what she makes through OnlyFans. “Right now I don’t have any funds to buy food or pay my rent,” she said via a text message exchange. “I have taken part in several protests since I moved to Moscow when I was 18. We are not Putin! All my prayers for peace and the Ukraine people.”

A cosplay content creator who goes by the handle kanra_cosplay, posted a shot of a message appearing to show that OnlyFans cancelled her account. “Woke up and got this message from @onlyfans @OnlyFansSupport they decided to delete my account without any warnings!” she wrote. “I had money there and without them I will not be able to live. Why they do this to ordinary people?! You decided to ruin our lives??!”


It sure seems like the west has it's priorities all sorted out. Oligarchs appear to have been left alone because of the potential risk to real estate markets but sex workers are targeted?

I was recently conversing with someone online about the "OnlyFans" site for ...other reasons. So am acquainted with the site- though havent used it. Never thought the site (a platform for young ladies who make their own amateur pornos to sell their wares) would come up in discussions about geo-politics, and war.

I feel like the issue is with porn being boring, not with how people distribute and earn income from their work.

My concern is that going after some random Russian sex workers doesn't impact Putin or his cronies in the slightest. Putin and his cronies won't face any consequences for their actions but regular working people will suffer.

There seem to still be plenty of Russians on PornHub. Just this morning I was sampling the work of a young couple in Belarus. No problem with that. w*king deserves to be above politics.

I'd say this is a reflection of what was at the core of their last big scandal, they don't respect their content creators who actually make their money in the slightest. They'll kick most of them off or literally steal from their pockets at a whim without any consideration of the harm they're causing thousands of people who's livelihoods are the source of OF's profits.

I'm not into that sort of thing, but unfortunately innocent people are caught in the crosshairs. Still, something had to be done or that demon would continue being able to do whatever he wants with zero repercussions.

How does OF stealing from their content creators represent a repercussion for Putin? Do you think he's secretly been paying the bills with pictures of his feet and now he'll lose that valuable economic asset? :scratch:
