Trump Giddily Praises ‘Genius’ Putin as Russia Sends Troops Into Ukraine

As the world watches in terror, the former president is cheering on the autocrat’s “peace force” of “army tanks”

The way Trump worships the ground Putin walks on is embarrassing. Putin is genius, sure, but his genius is pure threat.

‘Pretty stupid’: Trump did himself a ‘disservice’ with Putin comments
17 hours ago

The Australian’s Adam Creighton says Trump’s comments about Putin amid his invasion of Ukraine are most likely “hurting his popularity”.

The former president praised Putin’s actions over Ukraine, calling his ploy to invade the country through two independent territories as ‘genius’ and ‘savvy’.

“I think they were pretty stupid comments, really, to make … And I noticed he tried to walk them back a bit later,” Mr Creighton said.

“I think he did himself a disservice with those comments.”

IMO, this could cause the GOP to be at a crossroads within itself.

I've never been more glad that orange orangutan is out of office. He wouldn't have provided support to the Ukraine in this troubling time.

The Republicans should take this as an opportunity to cut their ties to both Trump and Putin.
