thousands of pro-Palestinian protestors clashed with thousands of anti-mass immigration protestors on the streets of Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Perth Australia.


Apart from injuries and arrests internal conflicts also occurred including clashes between pro-Israel anti-mass immigration, anti-pro Palestinian supporters with neo-Nazis (who nobody invited but infiltrated the ranks of anti-mass immigration protestors). there were also pro-Des Freedman protestors among the anti-mass immigration folk, a notorious cop killer who is currently on the run from police.

Meanwhile it looks like large numbers of antifa folk and pro-aboriginal groups infiltrated ranks of the pro-Palestinian protestors. I imagine if this circus happened in 2020 then BLM and anti-vaxxers would have joined in.

the anti-mass immigration protests are part of a new movement called "take back Australia" whose sole manifesto is to end mass immigration which is stretching Australia's major capital cities infrastructure and cost of living crisis. the movement appears to be coordinated in terms of timing with anti-mass immigration protests in London UK. they also are in response to massive pro-Palestine rallies over the past week.

Stuff the neo-Nazis. They are a cosplay joke, as they say.

Both the conservatives and the progressives played the greater immigration card. It makes the economic figures look good for both sides. The trouble is, the Labor party has put immigration on steroids, exacerbating the housing and rental crisis.

I imagine many poorer folk in both Australia and UK living in substandard homes would be feeling hard done when they see (largely economic) refugees getting hotel accommodation, food stamps, free health and education. Older folk here in Melbourne (including my parents) switch off heaters and/or air-conditioning because of rising energy bills they struggle to afford to pay off.

this is not the fault of refugees but the cost of living crisis is real and our infrastructure development can't keep up with influx of legal migrants (let alone refugees). People should be allowed to protest mass immigration without being labelled Nazis. Governments seem to not be thinking about the future (let alone struggles of the present). everything is so damn expensive.

I understand it is much worse in the UK.



I have heard it said that the emphasis isn't on immigrants who are builders. Do we really need more dog-groomers and yoga instructors?



They should be allowed to protest. It is the extremists who coloured everyone at that protest as Neo-Nazis because a few ferals were involved. The hypocrisy is amazing. There were Hamas banners and flags in the Pro-Palestine demonstration over Sydney Harbour bridge, but where was the media then? Hardly a peep.

Legal migrants are English proficient and qualified and enter professional jobs, accountants, dentists, nurses and tech. In Australia and NZ we have a skilled migration program and business migration. Problem for me is why can't we train more nurses and doctors? effectively they are competing for professional jobs.

Refugees are almost all unskilled and speak no English. they require enormous levels of funding for at least several years for accommodation, education, food, medicine etc. they enter specific jobs Australians don't want do:
Cleaning
Fruit picking
construction/road work
factory work
Problem is they are competing for work with unskilled Australian seasonal labour and unemployed, not just for jobs but also tax payer subsidies. Older refugees and family reunion never pay tax but immediately pull a pension. All of them are paid for by me and other taxpayers.

I am not saying we should stop legal migration or stop refugees. But given job security, housing, rent, cost of living and quality of life are such big issues, taxpayers have right to ask their elected government to review mass migration and refugee policy to see if these are sustainable.

Housing in particular is a major problem. No migrant wants to live or work outside cities so it's putting a massive strain on housing affordability in urban areas.

Dog grooming, surf instructors and yoga instruction are highly specialised fields and almost all locals. Migrants are dominant in some areas such as chefs, cooks and hairdressers.

Agreed. I have changed my views on immigration. I used to be pro-immigrant, now if given the choice. I would prefer to keep population growth to zero. Sustainability is not just for locals to maintain quality of life but also conserving native flora and fauna, natural environment and keeping our air and waterways clean.

There should at least be a major moderation of immigrant intake until the infrastructure is upgraded. But let's be realistic here. We are taking about politicians. It is like pissing in the wind with a government that has a 93-seat majority.

Government and big business.
