Police say Deltona man chased naked teen from daughter's room with pipe

Quote:
The Associated Press
5:53 AM EDT, September 12, 2008
DELTONA, Fla. - An angry Deltona father whacked his teenage daughter's boyfriend with a metal pipe after finding the boy naked in his daughter's room.

Authorities say Raul Colon, 45, didn't even know his daughter had a boyfriend or that the youngster had been sneaking into the home for more than a year.

When he heard noises coming from his daughter's bedroom Thursday morning and saw a stranger standing naked on the girl's bed, he swung a metal pipe. He then chased the teen out the front door and called police.

The boy was taken to the hospital where doctors closed a head wound with staples.

Colon was charged with aggravated battery on a child and bonded out on $10,000.

This is why you have your underage girlfriend sneak out to you, not the other way around...

Agreed. I would have had I walked in on a stranger in my daughters room naked and in colorado, it would have been covered under "make my day law" Especially if I did not know that the person wasnt hurting my daughter.

Dad's just doing his job. The kid will be doing the same thing 20 years from now.

I think that were I to discover a naked teen in my daughters bed, my daughter would have to do some damn fast explaining if I weren't to immediately think she was being assaulted.

This case all depends on timing. If the guy literally swung for the kid within moments, thinking his daughter was endangered, then fair play to him for doing what every father should. However, if he was informed at any point that the kid was there by invite, then its just spite really.

OK. I agree. This guy went way too far. But I never had a Dad when I was a teenager. I wish I had had a family who gave me attention and affection and a father who kept the rif-raf away. But this boyfriend may have been a legitimate good relationship for the girl. However, my life has been ruined by my mentally ill sister having babies by 1) a drug addict just out of jail for rape and 2) a migrant worker she never saw again. I'm now supporting the next generation with their babies and I'd like to get out. They're not trying hard enough and I'm doing all the work. Seems like people want to have sex, but they don't want to take responsibility for the results.

The father is the one who deserves to be beaten, not the boy, in my opinion. But yeah, he got lucky that the mad man didn't use a gun. Well, at least he (the stupid father) is paying for what he did.

If it was a legitime relationship then there would be a reason why she would never tell her father that she had a boyfriend.

If I had sneaked a girl into my room at that age and got caught fooling around then I still would have ended up being chased around by someone wielding a blunt instrument. It just would have been my mother instead of the girls father. Luckily she has never been able to catch me since I was about 8.

One time She caught my brother wearing an earring shaped like a marijuana leaf and when he refused to take it off she slapped him so hard that it flew out and we never could find it.

The boy should have been shot dead, and the daughter beaten with the metal pipe.

I have confused views here:
1) Girl's fault for not telling the father that her boyfriend was in the house
2) The boy should have underage rape charges if the girl is under 16, and if she is over 16 - move out
3) The father should of cut his dick off instead.
