Religion is very profitable if you're one of its leaders. Profit can take many forms. It's unjust that slingers of BS benefit so much, while pursuits of genuine scientific and academic merit are treated as merely annoying.

What he has done goes against the teachings of Islam. I agree with him however, it's an infrigment of his personal rights and freedom. However, he'll have to answer to the almighty alone during the day of judgement.

He has no right to be an Imam. The people should remove his rights to preach, as per Sharia law. Islam absolutely forbids priesthood, and anyone who has the highest understanding of the Quran in a community has the right to preach, provided he's approved by the community. Clearly, he doesn't satisfy either requirement.

Hmph! Even the Christian Bible is against bigamy! Matthew 6:24 even says, "No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other..." (KJV).

That quote is actually about God and Mammon, Yahweh vs. the Golden Calf. Evils of materialism.

Egad. The old dude has almost 1 wife/concubine for every year of his life. I think once your wife-count exceeds a dozen, you're just acquiring concubines. Khan Sama, what do you think?

That could be interpreted as, "No man can have two husbands. One would be okay, but not two." After all, a woman back than couldn't be the master of a man. Mistress maybe, but not master.

I love what Lewis Black said. " Christians try to interpret the Old Testement and often get it wrong. That's understandable because.. it's not... their book. It's our book, and if they'd just find one of us and ask, we'd be happy to interpret it for them... if the price is right!"

I think he said that in "Red, White, & Screwed" which airs on the Comedy channel from time to time.

Wow, 84, I wonder what Bluebeard did to his other wives while young and frisky... :|

And to think that if he had obeyed the teachings of Islam, he could've had 40 virgins in heaven!

I know ... didn't you see the wink-smiley at the end?

Still makes for a good joke!
