There was a big stink about him in Austria when I was over there in 2000. Even in graffiti he was called "Der Hai".

The Heils have been silenced...for now.

And nature does abhor a vacuum, and a black hole.

Haider and Hitler will have much to discuss in Hell, along with Heidegger, Himmler, Hoess as well as Goebbels, Goering and Eichmann, and the rest of the whole friggin' Third Reich.

This is almost too good for Herr Haider. :evil:

I still can't imagine how Kurt Waldheim became UN Secretary General, and then president of Austria.

I certainly can. :evil:

Leadership is not entirely based on competence. If this were true, the world would not be in such a mess. Political cronyism is rampant in the group/herd mentality. But I state the obvious. This would be a good topic in the PPR forum, especially at a time of Canada-US elections, and probably more elsewhere in the world.

Waldheim would never be considered now, or so I hope.
