Taking out Narcos in the US won't do squat to the Narco/Federales conflict in Mexico proper.

Changing US gun laws won't do anything either. When an "investigative reporter" actually buys real Full Auto "assault weapon" - as are being used by the narcos in Mex - from ANY US gunshow, THEN and ONLY THEN will they have the beginnings of a talking point.

Mexico has squat all to do with it.

The Narcos and Federales aren't shooting at each other with Semi Auto firearms bought at US gun stores/gun shows.

They are shooting at each other with guns that are available in the US only with the blessing and rectal exam of Unka ATF.

The Narcos are getting their guns from the Federales (either dead or corrupt) and the Federales are buying theirs on the World Military Arms Market (Governments and NGOS only, please...)

Changing laws that affect Civilians won't do a damn thing to stop the violence in mexico and they know it.

Another drug cartel will takes its place before you know it. As long as there is a demand for drugs and drugs are illegal, there will be criminal organizations at hand to supply the demand. It is simple economics.

Actually, there are multiple Mexican drug cartels.

It's just a process of elimination.

Just like eliminating The Colombian cartels in the 80s and early 90s made drugs disappear here (or Columbia for that matter)? You wipe out one big ring, a dozen smaller ones will take its place. As long as there is money to be made, someone will do what it takes to make it.
