Well, that's the biological definition of adulthood, yes...
If you're assigning adulthood based on reproductive capability, then the age for both genders is even lower.

Of course it is...

[]

It's a shame that nature has not caught up to the modern world by not giving people the ability to reproduce until after they're past the impulsive teenage years.

Don't know for females (or if it is just in general) but the brain for males is not fully mature until you are 25, so going by that maturity isn't reached until the age of 25

People keep growing and deteriorating throughout their life.

At 25, you are beyond just being an "adult". You are also wise and more experienced.

At 16 or 17, you can definitely blend in with a room of adults without looking conspicuous.

Seems like your just going off of height then. 14 is around when girls stop growing and 16 or 17 is around when guys stop growing. So yeah height wise they fit in

At least for NT's (Grr)

You didn't reply, you just quoted it?

See, I have the opposite problem. I'll be sixteen in about a month and a half, and my mom won't let me even get drivers Ed. She wont let me get a job at a store or fast food place (now or when I'm sixteen) She will however be paying for my distance education from the GIA, so that I can become a graduate gemologist. (they make 25k for the first five years and then 90k after that) so I'll be making 90k a year by the time I'm about 23 or so. But my mom says that she'll never let me live alone- I'm not allowed to move out until I get married, unless I live with a friend! (But on the plus side she won't make me pay rent, so I can put all my money in savings for a down payment on a house when I do move out) I've got a friend however that I'm planning to live with when were in our twenties.
