Whenever I start to feel down on myself, I stop to remember how I poop in cleaner water than most people in the world have ever drank, and then I realize my life's not nearly as bad as so many others; in fact, I've got it pretty darn good. I choose my miserable filtered toilette water life.

Even so, I would choose never to have been born over a crappy, dirty-watered life. lol

Probably never have been born. I love my family and that choice does not reflect my feelings on the kind of toilet water I have. Of course I am lucky to be healthy, fed, and clothed. However those things do not neccessarily constitute a "good" life. My life has been filled with a lot of hurt and pain.....I still have hope for it to get better.....but if at the end of my life it hasn't gotten any better, regardless of my efforts, I don't know.

To be honest, I'd opt for a 'terrible life' because you can always turn those around in a society like ours. Besides, for many people, a 'terrible life' constitutes relationship problems, not having everything you want, not liking your job, and/or feeling only mediocre. All of which are valid concerns, but are ultimately just pathetic little problems in comparison to other parts of the world. As bad as my life could possibly get here in Canada, I will always have health care, food on the table, and a roof over my head most of the time. For anyone in a third-world country, that's a pretty sweet deal.

I can tell muslimmetalhead is a Deftones fan by his signature.

In response to this topic, do the best you can with what you have whenever you get the chance. It makes for a far more meaningful existence to know you tried and failed than to have never tried in the first place.
