I just started trying to memorize Pi past the fourth digit yesterday and I'm up to 27 digits already.

This is not normal.

Same with Euler's number, I just started memorizing it yesterday and I'm up to 15 digits.

Is this related to/a symptom of Asperger's?

NO! It is related to wanting to know numbers.

However I think some autist are drawn to numbers. Then again NT are drawn to numbers as well.

I meant more the fact that I've memorized over 24 digits of Pi and 25 of Euler's in one day.

But I see your point, it's just in my experience most NTs don't enjoy memorizing numbers.

I don't think it's related to AS, but the will to memorize numbers is probably more common in those on the spectrum. I went from 9 to 26 digits of pi in one day, which isn't nearly as good as you but if I'd felt like it I probably could have done more. In my opinion the whole business is more of a practice thing than innate skill; I learned them by writing them down a couple times until they were permanently engraved onto my brain. Maybe it was different for you, but I think if there was a strong motive for any random person off the street to memorize lots of digits in one day, they could certainly pull it off.

I memorized the Pi by separating it into groups of four in my head. I find groups of four numbers easy to memorize.

And then Euler's was by groups of five that Wikipedia had it formatted as. I would just look at the group of five and add it to the pile of numbers in my head.

I'm currently memorizing digits of Phi. I love this number.

I got it memorised to around 100. I did that when I was 13 for some reason. Not sure why, but it does come in handy if people call you dumb. However, I feel like a freak show in the way people just ask me to receit it. It could possibly be, if you've got an interest in numbers like I have.

Me too! I know around twenty digits and would memorize more, except I don't have the time. Anyway, are you excited for Fibonacci Day? 5/8/13!

That's a thing? That's awesome! I can't wait for PI day in 2015 (3/14/15)

Fibonacci day isn't actually a thing as far as I know. I made it up because you can't really have phi day. Still, I'm going to celebrate it.
Anyway, I'm excited for pi day 2015 too; that's the other reason I can't memorize more phi: I need to spend the time I do have to memorize digits on pi. My goal is to know 314 digits by 3/14/15, and so far I'm only a little over 1/3 of the way there.

Nice. I think I'll take on the same goal.

Wow, that's cool. I don't have the imagination to make up a new holiday.

In my free time I read about an assortment of topics, talk to online friends, and try not to go slowly insane from the amount of noise my siblings make.

Well I do all those things, too. Especially the latter.

I will end up THIS close to either strangling them or myself, just to get it to STOP.

Ooh! Learning 314 digits of pi is intruiging! I only know 101, so I will have to work on it.

As for siblings, I can relate somewhat, but my sister and I are actually very good friends most of the time.

But physicsnut...I know your sister and boy do I feel your pain!
