I'm so friggin tired of being forced to go away bc no one wants to 'deal' with me.
At my mom's house, she yells and tells me to go watch TV.
At my house, my mam tells me to go to my room where I belong.
And now...here at my Dad's...the only place I thought was different, I'm being told to go away and go get on the computer or something while they all sit and have a good time on the porch.
It's always "Go away", "Go to your room", "Get on the computer where you belong", "Go find something else to do".
I try and try. And for what? Absolutely nothing.
And then they feel they have the right to yell at me for /not being social/! What the heck?!
They refuse to believe I have aspergers and tell me to suck it up and get on with life...and so then when I pull completely out of my comfort zone to try, they realize they don't want to be around me and just send me back to be all alone!
I spend 23hrs most days out of my day all by myself on the computer. On school days, I leave isolation to go to school and to eat dinner. On non-school days, I leave to eat dinner.
I threaten to go away forever and they get all upset about it. Yet as soon as they forget my threat, it's back to telling me to go away.
-sigh-

I understand what you mean with this Kate_Austen. Its been happening with me all my life too.

I first felt that I was virtually alone, but when I came here I met others and they helped. PM me if you want to talk more in-depth.

*hugs*

Feel better soon. And learn how to tune out.

*hugs*

Wow. I know how you feel. Although nobody actually tells me to go away (usually), that's the impression I get from them. It gets pretty lonely.

It's nice to know I finally found a place where I can relate to people. Even my best friend has seemed to not want me around lately.

It's horrible you're being made to feel like that :( Just remember that everyone here can understand those feelings of trying your best and exposing yourself to a lot of stress to try and be social, and then have it get thrown back in your face or not work out at all. All I can say is to just hang in there, try and learn to tune out, find something you can truly enjoy doing and make the best out of a bad situation - not only will it show people that you are capable of doing so, but it will allow them to see that you aren't just giving in or making excuses, but that you do actually have real concerns and worries.
