For years now I've lived with my mother and father, very unhappily. I can't find my own place to reside. My dad has bullied me for a long time.

He's controlling and I have to eat a gluten free diet or I get very ill. So because he won't often let me use the kitchen in peace I have resorted to eating lots of packets of what the British call crisps but the Americans call chips.

I now have been getting growths developing under my eyes and in different places on my neck as well as one in the middle of my chest. I think it could be cancer. Even if it is I don't want to talk to a doctor because I've researched online and chemotherapy and the drugs given for cancer wouldn't be things I would want. If I was to try to cure cancer I would go about it in a naturopathic manner.

The thing that makes me sad is my own father has placed his own selfish, short term happiness above his son's whole life. He's constantly shouted, banged doors, ran around the house like a savage, threatened me when I tried to ask him to give me more space.

I need to think of a way forward soon. I have to escape this house.

Well if you don't know whether or not you have it, you should go to a doctor who can tell you one way or the other.

What do the growths look like? It might be an allergic reaction. How old are you? To escape my mother's wrath I left to go live in a tent in the woods, it's was so much better.

It could be allergic. I'm 30. The growths look like this -

That's a photo I took of my upper arm. I have a smaller one on my chest and smaller still ones in different places on my neck and under my eyes. What frightens me is I noticed them when they were tiny and they're getting bigger.

I'm astonished you lived in a tent. For how long was that? What happened next?

Those look like warts to me. You may have caught a virus. If you're under a lot of stress it can lower your immune system making you more susceptible to that. Those can be removed easily, but def see a doctor because even if it is cancer, it doesn't mean you'll have to get chemo.

I lived in a tent for 11 months. If you live in a tent you have to make sure to hide it deep in the woods and camouflage it so no one finds it. I was also on ssi at the time, so I didn't have to pan handle or anything like that. I took showers at recreation centers and camp grounds and hung out at the library a lot. I even got a job while living outside, but got fired after a week. Eventually I ended up renting a room in a sketchy run down house with a bunch of shady people.

Well if your experience is anything to go by it seems making some kind of a move is the answer. You seem to be in a better living situation now. I'm glad you got away from your mother's wrath.

I'll have it checked by a doctor soon.

You should, for your own health.

If all you are eating is crisps, it's no wonder you're sick.
I hope you can find a new and better living situation.

Also, a doctor on your side could become ammo/defence against your father. Doctors can do more than diagnose - they can refer you to people who can help with your other problems. Please tell the doctor everything.

I'm not a doctor and it's difficult to see from the photo, but it could be a neurofibroma. You should have the doctor biopsy it. In the case that it is cancer, different cancers have different treatment success rates. Some have a greater than 90% cure rate if caught early.

skin cancer has a crazy high survival rate when it's caught early. hopefully it isn't as serious as cancer, but do see a doctor.
take care fifasy.
