Only 16 too young to die. It's a shame she won't get any older. I was hoping to see her on I2 again in another two years but now it won't happen.

I hardly knew her... but she PM'ed me after my brother's suicide to offer her condolences. She had a good heart.

Sophie Louise Borris Aug. 1, 1991–Oct. 24, 2007 Resident of Pleasanton Beloved daughter of Susie Larsen and Robert C. Borris Jr.; and loving sister of Tanya Borris of Pleasanton. Her brothers, Nicholas Borris of Dublin and Nathan Borris of Berkeley will miss her. Sophie is also survived by grandparents, Merete and Villy Larsen of Odense, Denmark; and preceded in death by her grandparents, Dr. Robert C. Borris and Toni Borris of Castro Valley. Sophie was a student at Village High School in Pleasanton, where she was interested in everything Russian and even taught herself to speak the language. Sophie loved art and drawing and playing the guitar. She was also an accomplished rider on her horse, Salem. Sophie leaves behind a grieving family including numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles in California and Denmark. Family and friends are welcome to attend a Memorial Mass Friday, November 2, 2007, 10 a.m., at St. Raymond's Catholic Church, 11555 Shannon Ave., Dublin, CA. Private family reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made in Sophie's name to Tony La Russa's Animal Rescue Foundation, 2890 Mitchell Drive, Walnut Creek, CA (925) 256-1273, www.arf.net. Arrangements are under the care of Graham-Hitch Mortuary, 4167 First St., Pleasanton, CA 94566 (925) 846-5624.

I'm so sorry Alex, you've worked very hard to make this website a lifeline to many people all over the world, and it is. But you did not fail Sophie, and I worry you may feel that way. She had family and friends who love her, and are crazy with pain and guilt right now. Very sad when someone with such promise feels this is the only way out of their pain. I really believe that if she knew how devistating this action would be on her loved ones, she would not have done this. Clinical depression is horrible and can stirke at anyone, but there is help and treatment. The sad thing is, victims don't always make themselves loud enough. My son lost a friend this way, noone had any idea he felt this way, he didn't even drop hints, and there were no notes left behind. I think we can only do our best for people which I think you do. And hope they accept. But if they don't, you just can't beat yourself up. R.I.P Sophie, you are very much missed.

She reminds me of Sophie Scholl (look her up if you don't know who she was). Looks like her, same expressions. I only realized that like the other day. :lol:

She very much looked like Lijla, which was of great benefit because she adored Lijla. You may notice in Lurk that on the roll is a person called Lijla M. While I don't know the last name of Lijla in Lijla 4-Ever, putting here was no accident. In fact, that's from a story I did for creative writing in English where one of the characters is called Lijla Moore.
