Is there anyway that you can check and see what kind of vaccinations you got when you were a kid? Please Post them here when you find out.

I can't tell you what kinds of injections I received but I can tell you that it wasn't available until 1963 when I was 14. It certainly didn't cause me to me autistic.

From talking to my mother and listening to her speak, and recalling my father's behavior I am sure that I managed to have two parents who are/were within the autistic spectrum. My brother I believe is more of a classical guy isn't an Aspie like myself. He's 18 months older, and refuses to be diagnosed. When we were kids I do remember that he did see a psychiatrist. It's too bad he didn't notice it.

Did you take any injections? or vaccines though? Were you autistic before these vaccines?

My parents say I was crying when they picked up and would stop when put back down. This was like right when I got home from the hospital before any vaccinations.

I don't think I had vaccinations until I was around 3 or 4 before I went to kindergarden. I was always considered awkard or shy when I was a toddler right up to a teenager.

I assume I had all the vaccines but know nothing of my early childhood or how I was. I rarely talk to my biological mum and my dad doesn't talk about stuff like that, well he rarely talks. My eldest son had the vaccines and was diagnosed with adhd but me, him and his councillor think it's actually AS. My youngest son had no vaccines, no artificial medicines, was long-term breastfed etc etc and is on the spectrum too

The vaccine stuff is BS. Read the news. The guy who started this whole mess has been utterly discredited...his research was badly done, and unverifiable by the scientific method. He was completely biased in that he stood to profit immensely from the royalties paid to a patent he owned for a test which was tied to his report. He stood to make millions. And considering all the kids who died because they weren't vaccinated because their idiot parents listened to this guy, he LITERALLY has blood on his hands.

Autism is very likely genetic. We are not freaks of science and chemistry, which is precisely what this guy's research was alleging.

What it comes down to is that there is no correlation between vaccine usage and rates of autism. At one time thimerosol, a preservative in vaccines, was believed the cause. It's use has declined steeply, yet autism has continued to increase. Vaccine usage has plateaued, yet diagnosis of autism continues to rise. It's a false connection people make, that because B happens after A, A must have caused B.

People forget that with heightened awareness of autism, naturally there will be a spike, because cases previously unknown are now being detected. Simple as that.

Absolutely correct. Only a moron would still buy that 'vaccines cause autism' malarky. It was a stupid idea to begin with and it has been discredited now repeatedly. People were suffering from autism long before vaccines existed and it clearly often runs along hereditary lines. Autism is genetic.

I'm sure I had it... more than once. I was in the foster care system and my vaccine card got lost a few times. When that happened, they started a new round of vaccines on me.

This, too. I always giggle to myself when someone suggests vaccines cause Autism.

I only asked if you people got vaccines. I haven't implied anything. None of you have really answered that question by the way. Did you all get the measles vaccination? or did you all get a vaccination of any sort as children? If they were going to give people autism through vaccinations they wouldn't put the ingredient in every vaccination anyway. That would be too easy to trace.

Perhaps you weren't paying attention. I DID answer your question.

Maybe....

But did everyone diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome emerge from a womb when they were born?

I think I'm on to something here...

Just about everyone in the States under the age of 50 had a measles vaccination. Less than 1% are autistic.

Really, people should learn to question their basic assumptions before designing "experiments" whose sole goal is confirming the initial hypothesis.

Yes, you are right that I didn't mention any vaccinations I had as a chld. The reason for this is that I am positive that it's genetic. If it isn't genetic in my case I think I could be behavior that was learned if you consider that both of my parents weren't typical adults.

The only vaccinations I can recall were for polio. I do remember getting one at the age of maybe 12 that left a 4 prong mark on my arm. Getting these injections definitely did not cause to me to autistic. For my ENTIRE life I have felt as though I was different than other people. One incident that I remember, I was no more than 7, is talking to two girls and they were very upset about something and they were crying. I think someone that all 3 of us knew had died. It could have been a relative, I can't be quite sure. It didn't bother me at all. I felt like a freak. Right then I knew there was something terribly wrong with me that I didn't have any of those feelings. In order for me to not appear as though I was like other people I would have to copy their behavior. I have been doing that since.

That doesn't mean I didn't have any traits before 7. I am positive I did.

Hope that helps. irene
