Let me tell you what just happened. I am madder than I have been since I've been on here even. Sunday is my husbands birthday. He wants to go hang out with his brother at his mothers house, which he does every single weekend and two nights a week. The kids and me asked him to stay here because we wanted to do something with him. I asked him that last night and he told me ok, but you could tell he was mad about it.

Today I had thought about it and talked to the kids and said "Lets let your dad go on down there, but come home early Sunday about 10 or 11 and we can do a special dinner here and (oldest daughter - the baker) can make a cake". Everybody was in agreement. No problem, right?

So, he comes home and right as he gets in he says "I been thinking today, and it's my birthday weekend, and if I stay here I'll be miserable and I ain't gonna be miserable on my birthday". He said that to me right in front of the kids. Oldest daughter said "Miserable????? WTF Dad!" then she called him a douche, my son called him a d*ck, and me and my youngest daughter went to the store real quick while he was getting his stuff for the weekend. The entire way we talked about him saying he would be MISERABLE here with us. We were getting madder too.

We came back and I threw the keys at him and said "You know what? Me and the kids were thinking today and we were gonna tell you go on down there but come home early Sunday cause we were gonna do something for you, but you f*cked yourself up but good with all of us and we don't want a g*dd*mn thing to do with you now, so get your sh*t and get out"

He got up, shaking his head and said "You took it out of context." Me, my youngest daughter and my son all said at once "What context? You said it!" He goes "Story of my life". My youngest sad FU to him and went to her room and slammd her door, my oldest daughter told him just dig his hole deeper and my son told him to tell his sorry *ss brother that he can stay down there with him.

When he walked out he said "See you Sunday" and I told him "Oh h*ll no! Don't make no special effort on our part! We will be JUST FINE without you here, so stay your happy *ss down there till you ain't miserable no more!"

This is not an issue of just hurting me or my feelings, nor of not giving me emotional support. He hurt his kids feelings. He basically told them he would be miserable with them on his birthday. I'm done. Put a fork in me.

What you wanna bet that Sunday when he pulls up in the driveway all his sh*t's out there in the yard and the door's got a new lock on it?

Recently the Missus and I have been arguing over my lack of emotion, but all I can say is what was he thinking? The way you present it, his statement comes off as cruel and mean spirited.

I've been married to him for 25 years and he doesn't show much emotional support or emotion. He's the NT in the relationship and I'm the aspie! That's bassackwards. We have argued over that a lot for the past ten years or so.

But yeah, that was a horrible, horrible thing to say, and it was to the kids too. So that SOB is gonna realize that paybacks a b*tch now. I have put up with so much from him. Him cheating on me so much while I stayed faithful for so many years, catching him time after time. Him trying to be an *ss and hit me like the redneck guys he works with do, until he p*sses me off enough to hand him his ass. Him never being there for me when I need it.

But saying that to his own kids? Oh, not just no but HAYULL NAW! That sh*t ain't cool and it will NOT be tolerated. Even our kids, who hate it when we argue (the ones at home are 16, 17 and 19, plus the 19 yo's fiance who is 22) have all said "F*ck him!"

He has done some f*cked up sh*t in the past, like last year spending all the money in the bank account on booze and weed and so I didn't have money to get my youngest son a birthday present. NEVER having birtday money for any of the kids except the oldest daughter because for a very long time, to her, the sun came out of his *ss, then she saw how he really is. They have always forgiven him for his stupid sh*t. This time though, he went too far. He thinks I won't throw his sorry *ss out, but I so will. And I'll get the house and whatever inheritance he gets too! I talked to Boozer about it last year when I got mad at him. (Boozer is the lawyer here in town, not the one thats the DA and on drugs which everybody knows about - I won't call his name but he dissapeared for about 3 months once and was found in an Atlanta hotel, wasted, broke and with a hustler, so I guess they thought that was enough problems without being fired, I don't know)

But yeah, he's got another thing coming if he thinks he's just gonna walk up in here Sunday and it's all f*cking peaches and beer!

That reminds me of this Family Guy episode.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/April_in_Quahog

That was really insensitive of him. It makes it seem like he doesn't like his family.

You handled that with great panache! I probably would have done the same, but maybe not so gracefully. (there probably would have been pots, pans and various dishes being thrown in his general direction, accompanied by my infamous banshee scream.)

Seriously, though, what kind of person tells his wife and kids he'd be miserable around them? He didn't choose his brother to spend his life with; he chose YOU. And those kids are the ones who are going to be the ones who decide where he spends his final years--in his own home or in a nursing home. Not his brother. He should have more respect for you guys. I certainly don't blame you for being mad. "Taken out of context," bah! Ever notice people say that when they know they're wrong and are too proud to admit it?

Let me get this straight. Somebody says he is going to be miserable on his birthday, and, rather than asking him why he was going to be miserable and asking him what you could have done to make him happier, it sounds like the rest of you all started swearing, cursing, yelling, slamming around the house, and telling him to get lost.

Quote:
I been thinking today, and it's my birthday weekend, and if I stay here I'll be miserable and I ain't gonna be miserable on my birthday". He said that to me right in front of the kids

Saying the word "miserable" in front of his kids is not nearly as bad as all the swearing and cursing you have apparently been doing in front of them. From your description, it sounds like they have foul mouths as well, and I can see where they're getting it from.

I have no idea what you and your husband are going through or who has done what to whom, but kicking someone out of the house and yelling and shouting and swearing in front of your children isn't going to make things much better, is it?

Quote:
He basically told them he would be miserable with them on his birthday.

No he didn't. According to your quote above, he said he would be miserable, but he didn't say why. Instead of stopping to ask him why, it seems you just threw a huge big tantrum.

Maybe he has a preferred activity he would rather be doing on his birthday. Maybe he and his brother play some sort of game or indulge in a shared hobby - or maybe they just don't yell and swear at him as much as people yell and swear at home. Without actually asking him why he would be miserable at home, you are only jumping to conclusions and putting words into his mouth and making out as though your husband said: "I hate my kids" when it appears that he has said no such thing at all.

I am not trying to stand up for your husband because I do not know him. Rather, I am only telling you what my initial reaction was when reading your version of events: it does not sound to me as though your husband has done anything wrong at all, and you and your children sound like rather loud, foul-mouthed, selfish people to have to share a house with. That is the general vibe I'm getting from your post, based on the limited information you have told us. I know that my opinion is going to make you even more angry than you already are, but if you did not want to hear opinions, you should not have ranted about your personal life to a bunch of strangers on a forum.

Instead of kicking him out the house, why not try asking him kindly what you could do to make him have the best birthday he's ever had? Everyone deserves to feel loved and special on their birthday, rather than have people yelling and ranting at them all day long. That's just my opinion. :?

If someone were shouting and yelling and cursing and slamming doors at me all day in my own house the way you describe, I would be desperate to go and spend my birthday somewhere else, too! :(

Edit: OK, I have just seen your second post in which you describe some of the nasty things your husband has done to you, such as cheating and spending money he shouldn't have spent. That justifies your anger and explains why you have reacted in the way you have, but I still don't understand why you think it's such a big deal for him to say the word "miserable" when a lot of the expletives you have apparently been saying are far worse than that.

I hope you and your husband work things out.

That is so, so very sad to hear. I have AS and I'm always doing my best to 'say the right thing at the right time.' From what you say, he's not much of a father or husband.

He said "if I say here I'll be miserable". How much f*****g clearer do you want it to be?

No you idiot! Saying that he would be miserable if he stayed here with them and me was the bad thing!! !! Jesus f*****g christ, they are grown so swearing is OK!! !

I have no idea what you and your husband are going through or who has done what to whom, but kicking someone out of the house and yelling and shouting and swearing in front of your children isn't going to make things much better, is it?

Oh hell yes it is!

Again, dumbass, he said he would be miserable if he stayed here. Where me and his kids are. What don't you understand?

Maybe he has a preferred activity he would rather be doing on his birthday. Yeah they do have a shared activity! They drink whiskey, smoke at least a quarter of weed a night, and wake up with the breakfast of ex champions, rice krispies and beer. They also sometimes get a hooker. Damn, you right! I should have been ok with that! You rock for pointing out they got a shared activity!! !

I am not trying to stand up for your husband because I do not know him.
Could have f*cking fooled me!

Rather, I am only telling you what my initial reaction was when reading your version of events: it does not sound to me as though your husband has done anything wrong at all, and you and your children sound like rather loud, foul-mouthed, selfish people to have to share a house with.

How horrible of us, after putting up with his sh*t for this long! You ain't gonna find somebody to put up with the kind of sh*t he throws that's not rather loud and foul mouthed. As for selfish, well he hasn't done sh*t for any of their birthdays except the oldest daughter but he d*mn sure can keep his whiskey around!

That is the general vibe I'm getting from your post, based on the limited information you have told us. Get a bucket......

and wash my balls, cause I took him back so many times before and I AINT his punching bag nor his Tammy G*ddamned Wynette, as much as I do like that sequined dress she wore when she sang it on Hee Haw!

If someone were shouting and yelling and cursing and slamming doors at me all day in my own house the way you describe, I would be desperate to go and spend my birthday somewhere else, too! :(

Well, chances are you may not end up with anybody to even get a chance to do that.

Edit: OK, I have just seen your second post in which you describe some of the nasty things your husband has done to you, such as cheating and spending money he shouldn't have spent. [b]Course you can't! He said HE WOULD BE MISERABLE WITH US!! !! !! !! !! ! Jesus f*cking christ on a popsicle stick!! !! ! Here, I'll give you his number. Go get high with them and maybe hit wht that hookers got. After all, I deserve it for being "foul mouthed" and proably "not staying in my place"

Watch this if you don't know the pressure that some of us are under. Yeah, that was a long time ago, but it's still aroun and I AINT Tammy!! !!
Been there, dont that, bought the sequined dress and wore it for 25 yeas.

And mods, if you want to take out some of the smack talk in the post, that's ok with me. I'm seriously p*ssed and I do think he deserves to hear it, so please PM him a copy if he doesn't see it before it's edited.

I'm just very angry. Know the saying "F*ck you and anybody that looks like you?" Well to me, this guy "looks like him". So take that as you will, no offense intended but thats just how it is. And I'll never get mad for toning down things to my posts. Wel I will at first but I'll get over it. ;-)

Uh, you do realize Plodder is female, right? She brought up some very good points and I applaud her for her logical and coherent post. You assumed she was male and got all women's lib, because you're reading into things that aren't there and acting on emotion.

Quite frankly, I'd probably be miserable spending my birthday with you, too. I'm sorry, but it has to be said. Reread your post and see how quick you are to jump to conclusions.

BTW, do you want the book on Paris with the book on London? I need neither, but if you like, I can send both in one package.

I understand the OP is angry due to her personal situation but there is no need for her to curse and swear directly at people replying to her thread and make personal insults. Namecalling and cursing at people is against forum rules. :?

Women's lib? So, you are such a backwoods head up your ass, toenail chewing misogynist that you think "women's lib" is about not being treated like sh*t by your husband?

You don't know what it was really about? I just deleted a huge monologue about what your probable heritage is. Don't push me.

You don't even deserve a response. Spectrum disorder or not, you are from the shallow end of the gene pool and I'll see you one deuling bajo and raise you a "boy you shore got a purty mouth" cause you are redneckier than even me! And that's saying something.

Go on with your dumbass self

It's pretty obvious he was mad because they wanted him to stay home for his birthday and he was being whiney about it. You don't know the situation. How OliveOilMom describes it he seems like a jerk plain and simple. She's been married to him for 25 years and he does stuff to them like hitting her and cheating on her, yeah this guy's a real winner. It's good to be logical and not always act out on your emotions but sometimes there are exceptions to this. I mean, this guy sounds like a real saint. If anyone should know, it would be his family. Besides, I think his children would have more respect for him if he was actually being a "father", obviously he has issues.

Saying the word "miserable" in front of his kids is not nearly as bad as all the swearing and cursing you have apparently been doing in front of them. From your description, it sounds like they have foul mouths as well, and I can see where they're getting it from.

Who says she always swears around them? They might have gotten it from anybody, even their father. His children aren't just pissed at him for no reason, he's not being the role of a father. He's letting down his family once again after a lot of previous let downs, of course there are going to be issues here.

If any guy that lived with me and my children swore at me, hit me, cheated on me or disrespected my children or me at any time he sure as hell would be out of my house. I wouldn't want my children in that kind of environment with him.

She's been married for him for quite some time, I think she knows him well enough and has a right to get angry at him as well as the children. Have you ever been in a relationship like her's? It's not rainbows and roses. It affects the family unit deeply and causes a ton of problems, at this point it's more than just sitting down and talking it out.

Watch this if you don't know the pressure that some of us are under. Yeah, that was a long time ago, but it's still aroun and I AINT Tammy!! !!
Been there, dont that, bought the sequined dress and wore it for 25 yeas.

He can get a bucket!

She's been married to the guy for 25 years and he treats her and his children like crap! No wonder his children have no respect towards him! At this point it's past all logical discussion. I'd have a nervous breakdown as well if I went through all of that!
