This particular SSO was too close to me, and as I was sharpening a pencil into the bin, I threw it at him. I got some penciles and threw them at him, and punched him in the nose. He then knocked me over somehow, then pinned me to the floor. His nose was bleeding, and it went all over my head. Then, they called my mum and made her come in and see what I did. Since the teacher of the class next door hated me, she told him to get me charged for it. And of course, we had to have a meeting at the police station. But now I'm 15, I've matured a lot and feel more remorse for the things I've done in the past.

I told this all to KBABZ and Starbuline. This is all true. It happened last year, and made me realize violence doesn't solve anything.

Gee, that sounds like me when I was in middle and high school. It took me studying karate to realise violence wasn't the way. I wish I had someone point me to Zen then; it really helps me keep things in perspective and not let people get to me anymore.

Now you can all understand why I have such a negative attitude towards life. When that happened, I felt small and weak and couldn't do a thing. I see my life like that now, as that man hurt me. He hurt me so bad, I don't like going near adult men at school now. This wasn't the first time, oh no. There was another incident where an adult man needed me in the stomach against a bus chair, just to calm me down. It work though; I just got more aggresive.

Get some self-defence training. It'll improve your confidence imensely, and teach you self control.

What does SSO stand for? I don't speak school lingo. "Student Supply Officer"?

Makes you wonder. Your temper is a problem, but it seems that many others aren't any better.

When you say "got too close", we're talking actual sexual harrassment? Why didn't you say anything?

Sometimes its our mistakes that make us "wake up" and realize some of our actions are non-sense.

Good for you for maturing and you're very right, violence doesn't solve anything. :!: 8)

It's a really hard way to learn the lessons, going through that sort of thing. Learning that every action you make has an impact on someone, and an even more direct impact on yourself. Karma is a harsh mistress...what goes around comes around, and sometimes the backlash is immediate and extreme :(

Good on you for learning from that. You can only ever get better. But don't focus on this event, move on from it and grow...it was one huge hurdle in your life, one you tripped over and was pretty badly hurt by...but it's in the past, and you've got your whole future ahead of you :)

They're really letting the wrong people in with children and teenagers if they have someone who thinks that way. My mother lapped this kind of stuff up and now she pretends it never happened, wasn't wrong, whatever. Literally, some Neanderthal is pinning you or holding you, actually hurting you, shouting, "Are you going to calm down now!", and deliberately agitating you. If it isn't deliberate he's too stupid to be allowed around children.

That would actually work with the average dumbass O.o; They probably would calm down because they're like 'Yep, I just got pwnd by someone three times my size, time to call it quits' and usually the shock of it happening is enough to jolt it out of them anyway. If someone jumped me while I was losing it I wouldn't be struggling for long. For the average population there's a 'if they're bigger than you, don't bother' reaction stapled into the brain...sorta self-defeating really :P

My strong opinion is that the attitude of the adult who dominates the child is who makes the difference, not the child. When I was of the ages of about 5 to 12, I was more likely to suffer a physical attack from an adult in the first place. Also, all ages under 18, the adults were more likely to deliberately make it hurt more, at least some adults.

The difference between one child screaming in pain and the other child just taking it may be that with the first child, the adult is thinking "difficult child" and actually hurting him or her, while that adult may be much gentler with the second child. That's the way that they did it with me, and it may have been forty years ago, but I don't think much has changed. The other children had learned very early that if they made the first strike and then acted innocent when the teacher turned around, I would be the one who was seen doing anything, whether it was hitting back or screaming and carrying on, and most teachers were actually stupid enough to fall for it. I think that a lot of them knew what was going on, also, and liked it like that. This way they made their target look like the "difficult child." How is a child going to act if he is hurt that way often enough, and it is his reputation that is being torn down, and nothing that he can do can stop it?

It's good that you've learned from your experiences.
Violence is not the answer, except in extreme circumstances. It ends up aggravating the situation, unless it's controlled properly. It's often best to just get away from a situation, and discretely avoid those things. Whilst it seems unfair in that you didn't know how to react, and suffered because of it, people with AS have to learn from situations like that.

The situation on the bus was unjustified, by any means. Adults, especially strangers, shouldn't go around hurting children for things like that.

I was hurt in a particular situation in which my cousin's boyfriend hit me on the shoulder for being restless and causing mischief at an Xmas family dinner. I was upset, and shocked by that. Another cousin had a go at me, on a holiday at her house in France, after she couldn't stand my moaning and complaining about the flies and boredom. I didn't know that it got on people's nerves, and it was a total shock.

Sometimes it's impossible to make sense of what might get on someone's nerves because the people who make the claim have their own nerve-destroying habits.
