What is it that is making you feel this way? Something that has happened recently, or something that has been ongoing?

Actually, I've thought about suicide this week, just in passing. I know I couldn't do it, probably because I'm too scared too, as well as the fact that too many people would be hurt if I did so. I think all of us think about it, at one time or another.

Please don't do anything that would hurt yourself. Let some of us try and help.

Kris

Suicide guarantees freedom from possibility. Freedom from the possibility that things will get worse, or stay the same, but also the chance that things get better. Can't remember who said it, or if it was referenced from somewhere else, or what, (and I'm hoping I got it right,) but:

Quote:
Suicide is a permanent solution for a temporary problem.

Things can always be improved, if even just slightly but I think you need to talk to your doctor to see if they have anything from medication, to groups that may help your situation.

thoughts of suicide are a desire for change and there are much better ways to change.
until you have tried different ways of living there is no excuse for suicide.
have you - moved to a new town and started again, changed your job, changed school, left school, joined an evening class, started a new hobby, lived in a commune, joined the military, lived on the street etc etc

I didn`t realise wou were so young.
Life does change, there are many aspies on this site who have made it to being v. old.
My life was extremely cr*p at 16, I wanted to kill myself but went off the rails instead, I left school, left home and was unmarried and homeless with 2 kids at 18. It has been a long hard road but I am now in a successful career with 2 grown-up well adjusted kids.

Hang in there, keep breathing, there is so much more for you to see and do, don`t miss it all.

Things can get much better. The horrible thing about the future is there's no way to accurately predict it. The great thing about the future is that there's no way to accurately predict it.

I know I mentioned patience before, I don't think I really went into that sufficiently. (If I did, well, skip this. :P)

I understand how infuriating it can be to hear someone "Just be patient, things will get better!" It is often said in a cheerful way. It is often said by someone who has a seemingly great life. When I've heard it, I'd wonder how the hell they could know that, since they were doing so well, and I was doing so horrible, and as far as I knew they had always been doing "good" at the very least.

Well, I've seen both sides of it now. I've been the one to say "be patient." I don't know why some people say it, but I know why I feel like I need to say it. Have things gone perfectly for me? Hell no. I still have rough spots. There's lots of downs, but there have been a few ups. For example, I've actually had a relationship, even though I never expected that to happen. Sure, the relationship didn't go all that well, but to look at it as a failure because it didn't go perfectly is a negative way to look at it. Would I have liked it to have gone better? Of course. It didn't, but it was a step in the right direction. It was experience, and while experience wasn't what I was going for, it isn't like I got nothing out of the situation. (Do I really know what to do with that experience, or how to apply it? Not really... I may at some point.) More than anything else, it proved that I was wrong in my assumption that I'd never be in a relationship. The danger there is that I could now assume that I may get into relationships, but that they would all be spectacular failures, but that would be yet another chance for me to be proven wrong.

Give it time. You have a great deal of your life ahead of you. The future is very unpredictable, something I'm not thrilled about, something I at times hate, but all the same something that should provide some level of hope.

For starters you can get to be seventeen, then eighteen. It is not AS, all of us, 2,000,000 in the US, live with that. Being a teen is the problem, you will get over it.

Almost all of us just blend in and have a good life. Give it a try.

You've got to stop right now. Calm down. Take a breather. Don't let the panic overwhelm you. I know what this feels like. Talk to someone. Just don't be alone, please...
