Yes I have seen some of them. I've tried a couple, but they didn't help. Maybe they need to be done regularly. I also pickedu p some breathing tips like pursed lipped breathing and something called the butyeko method. PLB seems way more effective in my opinion. I'm thinking about seeing if I qualify for respiratory rehab soon, they teach you a lot of breathing exercises to help ease shortness of breath and other symptoms.

I am so fortunate to be part of a great community based asthma support group though. They look out for me as much as they can. They kindly encouraged me to go to the hospital earlier so I did, and it helped.

There are some yoga poses that are suppose to help with breathing and pushing out phlegm.
There is a really good selection on YouTube.Start off slow if you try it.It also helps with stress.
Hope your medication helps.

This new pill and probably the roids too have been helping me feel great today. I don't think I had one asthma attack yesterday as well. Had some shortness of breath but that could be due to the high dosages of roids I've been taking to combat inflammation within my lungs, and if that's it then it should end when I'm off the roids.

Good to hear you are getting some relief.Maybe you can get off the steroids soon.I had a steroid shot when I had an allergic reaction to a yellow jacket,it was a painful shot.

I'll be off of the oral steroids in 4 days, only had one emergency IV of Solu-Medrol. The Solu-Medrol was so strong that I felt high a few minutes after it being put into my IV. They give me short bursts of high dose orals and if I am not doing well afterwards, I may have to go in to get more. I've been doing pretty good so far. The roids do have some bad side effects, mostly when taking time off of them for a little bit. Had a bit of a dull pain in the shin earlier, haven't slept in 24 hours so far, got a little depressed because I couldn't sleep.... But I am breathing kind of like a normal person so I will take the good with the bad.

There is a weird old belief around here that a chihuahua will cure asthma.I have no idea where that originated, but people will get them for kids with ashtma and swear that it works.Go figure.Maybe just having a pet made the kid feel better.

We had a chihuahua about a year ago, for awhile. It was the most annoying dog I've ever lived with. It would not shut up and stop barking at me when I walked by, it was extremely territorial, mean, and aggressive. It eventually latched onto our other dog's leg and tore some tendons. I had to grab it by it's neck and squeeze it until it would let go. We got rid of it shortly after, what a relief.

I am sorry to hear your Mother is dying. I have lost both my parents. My Mother passed away due to a series of strokes and my Father was in Hospital Care when he died of COPD. I wish there was something to say to you to make you feel better. I will say it will be hard to watch your love one die, and feel helpless. I watched both my Grandfather and Father die. You will have a hard time with holidays. Seek Grief Counseling or someone to talk to. I wish the best.
