So I guess it's just my imagination and this guy isn't really stalking and harassing me I'm just taking him literally.

Yeah that makes sense... :?

No. I mean people target you because of your AS because it makes you obviously different.

I'm sorry if I sounded insulting or like I was blaming you. I didn't mean it that way.

Thanks mechanicalgirl, didn't mean to come off rude. I can definitely see this but why is that there are other people with AS who do this crap? You'd think they'd know what it's like. I guess bullies come in all shapes and sizes and "disabilities".

So you're being bullied by other aspies?

I have been bullied by a few too.

Some aspies are not nice people either and I find it ironic they put other aspies down for their traits. Sometimes it's a pecking order because they get teased for their difficulties so they do it to other aspies. I have heard about some guy in real life being on the spectrum and he puts people down for their aspie traits even though he has those exact same traits and I asked why would he do that and someone speculated maybe that's how he gets treated so he does it to others and I said "Oh the pecking order they call it." But I know nothing about this fella nor ever met him or even know who he is. I just heard of him by someone in my group and he doesn't like to say much about him because he isn't around.

It seems after conversing with someone I'm not the only one that attracts them. There's a couple of other people who are having the same problems. I guess it very well could be part of my AS and being overly sensitive. I do get sick and tired of people thinking it's cool to harass someone so they can get a gram stand for their so-called epic trolling. I think the internet is much worse than in real life. This jerk wouldn't have the gumption to say it in my face, it's more suiting for him to sit behind a computer because he doesn't have to actually face anyone.

Anyway I just see him as a miserable coward like the rest of them. They just do it because they can get away with it much easier.

So let me get this straight

Some people sign up on to wrong planet to PM or add them on instant messangers/facebook whatever to harass and insult women with AS?

For real? Some people seriously need to find a hobby or something

I thought after highschool it was over with. I know I get them at working places but nothing as personal as facebook. I could be wrong but they weren't as bad. Now I got people "kicking my ass" or telling me to go to hell or accusing me of stalking them even if I tell them I was just joking around. What the hell is this? I'm not sure what I did to deserve it. I don't chat much and yet I see the same people doing the same crap to me. I've not even mentioned them.

Am I the only one who's taking this crap?

Yeah, maybe you should start worrying about the REAL problems in life, instead of some stupid troll ont he internet. You're overthinking it waaaaaaaay too much, which makes you look like a creep. But its typical behavior for an asspee, so you are not alone

Typical behaviour for you maybe, but not MissConstrue.

TallyMan has been notified about the bullying in this thread. He's the resident bully killer.

Sensitive people do tend to attract bullies and all you can do is not be so sensitive and get tough and quit caring and people leave you alone.

I've tried that method of "not caring" and it doesn't always work. I agree but at the same time some people like Ben are only doing it to get a rise from me. I try ignoring them which works sometimes but it doesn't always, in fact sometimes it doesn't make much of a difference. I don't know what it means to be "tough" online except to move on. I've moved on from some of this crap but I still have to deal with it.

You can't really get stalked over the internet.

What do you mean?

I have before and I know other people who also have. Most of it's from forums and them knowing my email address.

Yes you can. Someone can follow you all over the forums and keep leaving you PMs or emails. They somehow find you on facebook or myspace or other places and join and harasses you there. That is stalking.

Also if you keep blocking someone and that person keeps creating a new account to contact you again and again, that is also stalking. I have had that happen to me on IM by someone and that person was real hard to get rid of and he always play the victim by saying I was mean to him but yet he wanted to keep talking to me. Occasionally he will still IM me.

Maybe there is a sensitive spot that people can see and once a bully see's it, they will try and put you down, when you don't put them down, you'll find that they wouldn't bother you like that anymore and they will eventually just give up in the end, unfortunately there are people like that in the world.

With online scums, you can just block them and delete them and that's about it really, they're never such a big deal to me anyways.

Most of the times, it's mostly either jealousy which is probably the case or to make the other feel bad because the bully themselves feel bad themselves.

You are right. I guess us aspies are going to be more vulnerable to teasing and bullying. If NT were being bullied they can possibly handle it better. My cousin is 11 and she gets bullied due to her weight but it doesn't bother her at all. She still goes on with life and has friends and is quite happy. She is an NT though.

the worst is still to be able to recognise them.....i just got caught by a troll, i thought he or she was a genuine poster here since i saw mre posts with that name, the person pretends to be sweet and honest and suddently BAM! you realise they were trying to make you feel bad all along. thank god i'm sort of immune to it after years of bullying at school, i just don't take it personally. the key is to remember they will do it to anyone showing a weak point, so it's really not about you...
