That sounds like relaxed job, but I can see why it would be nice to have some contact from time to time in such an environment.

I get tired easily, and I don't work hard enough a lot of the time. I want to keep progressing my music but doing so without it feeling like some kind of huge chore.

Yes I find that sometimes I have something to say and judy want to talk. :)

How are you?

I worked a total of 3 hours today and fell asleep on the couch when I got home. I've been this way as long as I can remember. If I have to work longer I can, but it seems as soon as I don't have to do something I get sleepy. I would like to make art again but I'm having a hard time getting started. I knew an artist who said he would just splatter some paint on the canvas just to get past it. I'm stymied.

It does seem that not having much to do can be difficult.
As for Art, I would say what my brother just told me about my problem with writing music - "Treat it as an organic process" he was stating the point to me when I told him that I want it all to sound good from the offset that I should treat it as more organic and natural, to allow it to progress with new ideas over time - writing the basics first.
I will tell you the same with Art. :) Treat Art as more of an organic process than a mechanical one, if that is a problem you sometimes find with it, as I know I do with music many times.

Allow the Art, and the creativity to be natural and organic - no pressure at the beginning of a painting/drawing, what kind of Art is it you do?

Right now nothing, but painting I guess. Sometimes I just scribble and see what starts to develop.

For me it's just music. I have a paint set but I haven't tried anything with it yet.
I have no painting or drawing skills - my skills are in the area of music and writing.

Do you get ideas from the scribbling from time to time that you want to pursue?

Hello, I like to hover. I come here and view all the topics since my last visit, but never have anything to say to them. It's another dull Saturday night - it would be nice to just chat about nothing at all, but I'm not too good at that either.

Hi,
I too get bored and lonely sometimes, but recently it's felt like company and fulfillment has become a necessity for me. After a 1/4 century of keeping to myself, staying in my own world, I feel an overwhelming need to talk and relate and become close to people. I've had a few close relationships regardless but they were fleeting. They always end up slipping out of my hands like a wet cake of soap. My interests are of no help. They only remind me of what I'm missing.

Hi samtoo,

I am OK today - we had very nice weather here, so I got to get out and take a walk. I was not walking well for awhile because of arthritis, but I've gotten better recently and it feels really good. I did a lot of thinking today about changes I want to make in where I live, and where I work. I didn't decide anything, of course. Then I drew a cartoon for my blog, and I ate some take-out, and now I'm listening to jazz.

How was your day?

That sounds like a reasonable day, greenturtle74. :)
I am sorry about the arthritis being difficult. :( Here is a big hug.
*HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUG* :) ^^

I am glad you are feeling better. :) ^^

The weather here has been kind of cold, but calm - not bad weather as such.

I haven't done a whole lot really... although I have played some guitar and am thinking about getting a set together for a relaxed gig in a pub - it's not specifically for me at all this gig - it's going to be an open mic, and I think in a Folk style - people sitting in random places taking it in turns with their instruments (mainly guitars, perhaps all guitars) and playing songs, at least I think this is what the gig will be like.

Do you draw? :)

Thank you! You are a friendly whale. :)

I like open mics. I hope you get to do your set. I don't play anything, but I like to go and listen - I might go tomorrow night. I tried to learn guitar once, but I couldn't get the fingering. What kinds of music do you like to play?

Yes, I draw cartoons. My blog is cartoons about Asperger's. I have a sticky thread here under General Autism where you can see one of them.

Thank you. :) You are a friendly turtle/fox. :D

I like to play sort of Folk, Rock, Folk Rock, and other styles that incorporate a Rock sound or perhaps a Blues sound as well. :)

That first cartoon scenario is hilarious. I enjoyed reading it very much. I love the humour. :) Very well done. :) ^^

I'm back. Happy Sunday!

I slept very well last night and woke up in a nice mood. Then I went and did battle with the supermarket to do my grocery shopping. I forgot one item on my list and had to go back in. I went through the self-checkout and it gave me the wrong change, so I had to get help... Then I realized I had still forgotten another item... So, not in a good mood anymore.

Oh well. It's nice weather again, so I hope to find something fun to do.

Hello greenturtle74. :)

It is good that you have been in a nice mood today, and I hope that your mood improves again today. :) ^^
It is rather nice weather here today as well.
I should walk - I rarely do... I'm quite lazy. :(

I have done a little bit today with music - I should do more however.
I created a very small guitar section that I'm hoping to use in a song, that I hope to create within a few days. :)

Are you feeling well? :)

Hi samtoo,

Yes, get out and go for a walk if it's nice! I like to go to the park. I don't have to talk to anyone. Sometimes it clears my head.

I think it's great that you write music. I would like to be able to do that. I hope it continues to go well for you.

I'm feeling OK now, but I still can't find anything to do today. I'll go for my walk and then probably come back and do work. Now I'm going to go have a bagel for lunch.
