Rule number one when it comes to self-harm - if you need to do it, do it.

fudo thinks this is some of the very worst advice he's ever seen :(

a different rule, there is no 'need' for self-harm.. there is quite obviously a need for serious help. but it seems incredibly unlikely you'll find it here. seek a professional, is my only real advice.

I used to use a box cutter. It was apparently dull which surprised me when I moved up to razor blades. It's VERY easy to cut with razor blades compared to box cutters. Also, I tend to cut my upper arms, chest, and shoulders so I don't have to worry about the long sleeve issue.

I just want to say thank you to all the people who have replied and gave advice, I have taking everything on board. I am waiting to see my doctor tonight for more help and going with my step-mother, who can explain things better than me. (I meen my living status etc, not how I am feeling.)

I do have a load of cuts now but, I am trying, and I feel much better today than I did a few days ago. This comes in stages my depression and can come and go in long/short periods then nothing.

Anyhoo thank you for all replies, they helped/helping.
