I'm not sure what would happen if I ever told my parents I were gay. seeing as how I'm not, I'm not worried.

but considering that I don't plan on spending much time home this summer, except sleeping, if I became Gay, I don't think they'd know. sis might, but she keeps my secrets.

Have you though of telling your mum your period is late and you think you are pregenant? Maybe then she will not think being in love is such a big deal. However I can see how this can backfire, so I disclaim all responsibility if it goes bad. :lol:

As a parent, I can say your mum wouldn't get upset if she didn't care.

Wait a sec, your mom's opposition to homosexuality is based on religion. If it's only that, you could point out how the Bible only says "man shalt not lie with another man" or whatever the wording is, and how it doesn't say anything against lesbians. I don't know any arguments for the gay males out there, but that may help in your case Space Case.

Guidelines, perhaps, but not rules.

Guys are more sexually driven, so it's not strange that it mentions men.

Is she honestly more concerned with her gossip buddies around the tea ring (not sure what the real case is, but the mental image is amusing) than her relationship with her own daughter? This is very sad. If the dispute was theological rather personal then it would lay open far more room for understanding (at least I would hope) based on the doctrine of compassion.
