Wait a minute, I'm confused. You're considering committing suicide or becoming homeless over a computer?

My guess he is unhappy period. Maybe not situational but mostly biological based depression. But he feels a PC might make him happier and it might for awhile.

Material goods do not equate to happiness...
It's a little ironic that you hate MTV yet you hinge your ability to be happy on whether you have a new computer or not. You're joking, right? MTV promotes sex and materialism. Sex sex sex, buy this CD, go to this concert and buy our MERC, buy it buy it SEX MTV. Yet here you are, and you gotta have your PC, or you'll fall into a depression. I think you've played a joke on this entire forum. Either that, or you're confused. I think I need to be more guarded on this forum... sigh.

A good book? Considerably cheaper. How's about a Terry Pratchett, taht'll cheer you up.

Or maybe, if you still have access to a computer, read "8-Bit Theater". It's helped me out of a few depressions...

You've played on the sympathies of others and it's all because you can't get a new PC without doing some work first. Get over it, or take some action.

Unknown.

I'm in professional mode. so if I come off as a bit of jerk. er...sorry.

It seems to me that right now you're going through a serious problem, you're moody and depressed which initself is not a bad thing. But what you're talking about could be equated with a class 3 level of response by any peace keeping organization, and becoming a terrorist as one of your options automatically puts you on my "watch" list, and if you did end up disappering and doing such as any of these, I have a friend in AirForce Intell who would recieve this board post of you saying this, who would then notify the correct authorties.

What you need to do right now is calm down, and think.

Obviously you are having troubles in life right now and you're becoming emotional over them. What you need to do is talk to your parents. You may think that your parents hate you, but you'll find that in situations like this, that they will be behind you one hundred percent.

Secondly. working at your age? I can't say anything officially, but unoffically, I do know that moving and storage companies such as STEVEN's VAN LINE's do hire at the age of SIXTEEN. However I am advising you as the resident psych that you don't need to work.

Lastly. You want a gaming PC? WHAT THE UNHOLY HELLIANCE IS...
[Edited by MrMark as possibly appropriate but probably unhelpful. Yes, we all want to pick the kid up and shake him, but this is after all the Haven. :) ]

He's been saying he wants a job to buy a new gaming PC for as long as he has been a member. So I do not think he was being
dishonest with us.

It may sound crazy but its likely his obession and it may very well
make him happier.

My opinion is video games have to be among the worst things an
aspie can do to improve social skills and the games are nothing
but graphic violences.

Ok, I see. Just seemed like an inappropriate response to this situation, to want to die and commit terrorist acts and all merely because of a lack of a new gaming PC. Felt like a joke played upon me, because I thought he was actually in bad trouble.

I play a lot of video games with little or no realistic depiction of graphic violence... check out Nintendo, they usually make some fun, albeit fairly wholesome games. I try to stay away from graphic violence and sex in video games and all other media I watch, because I get nightmares easily.
