Sorry to hear of your loss. I am really close to my mother and can't even imagine going through it right now.

Just talked to the funeral home, who finally decided to accept her with the Brown Service Burial policy. Got a licenced guy to promise me to embalm her, so no apprentice, like I was. He's going with direct embalming, which is kind of brutal. I've done that myself many a time. I don't want to think of it. Not vessel embalming. It's going to be closed casket. Her vessels couldnt withstand direct embalming anyway. It would have to be direct then clay overlay. I want her to be buried for herself not to please us.

I'm working on her eulogy right now. Will post it here, and other places when I'm done. I'll say it at her service.

So sorry for the loss of your mother.....I know you'll write a perfect eulogy - oftentimes funerals, & the process of, helps to transition from the loss. Take care of yourself
