Took a peek at reality and panicked --- again
Sorry about that, you are one of those forever in college. Second choice, get out and go for a walk, something with trees. Being overbrained does me in. I think till I cant think. Ten miles on a trail through the forests did me wonders, tired body but refreshed mind.
I lived near Seattle, damn soul stealing weather. One day I found a rock hunters guide, went to a few sites, spent more time wandering than rock hunting, took up fishing again, and was spending several days a week doing something else. I got my energy back.
We have been hunters that lived on the move for a million years, we stopped for shelter, rest, food, and then were on the move again. I walked a lot, and it restored me. I was hungry and food tasted good. I drank more liquids, pumped air through my lungs, and returned full of energy. Suddenly I got things done, and had a brain again.
Hi calandale, I like your posts, always contributing with something to the forums
I have from time to time felt exactly that way, not being even able to wash one dish, not even one...
I've noticed that this happens when I have nothing to do, like vacations or when I don't have something like a job.
I have to be active to feel good, being inactive makes me feel depressed.
If you can, why not call someone that can help you with the cleaning? Like some cleaning service, a maid or something like that, it doesn't have to be daily, once a week I think is more than enough.
About the call and schedule, why don't you start with something simple like scheduling only ONE class? When done do the next, if you feel pressured, ask for help, man! You have like 10,099 people here in the forum that can gladly give some help!
In fact, to hell with the dishes! Wake up early, take a bath, go out to have a breakfast and take some air, don't go back to your house, go to a mall or something, what's more, eat in the mall some tacos or a food that you like, and if you took a paper with you, do one schedule there, or two, take a coffee, sit a table and start doing it!

You're not alone Calandale
finally, a quote I like a lot from a book that helps me in those moments:
"We who lived in concentration camps can remember the men who walked through the huts comforting others, giving away their last piece of bread. They may have been few in number, but they offer sufficient proof that everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way."

Good Gosh! You've already got a master's; that is quite an accomplishment. Are you not really proud of yourself? If not, than let me tell you how proud I am for you.....
I'm confident you'll break this rough stride. Someone above just posted the idea of getting a maid, and that's a really good idea. Often times, (like me) if you don't have the money for a weekly time service...you can still hire someone to come in for only an hour (or two) to do a major clean job with you for about 50 bucks. It will make you feel refreshed and pumped. Like cleaning out the cobwebs.
Let us know how you are doing????? I think everyone here wants to see you moving along; I'll even help you choose classes.
Getting accepted is the tough part. I'm not done with the Master's yet, but honestly it's a lot less work than my undergrad degrees were.
Figured out what I'm taking though - there were a lot of good choices. Last quarter, there was nothing decent; this one, too many things. I was able to set it up so that I only have to leave home 3 days a week. Makes it easier.
