I also love being alone in the woods and camping. Also find sitting in my car during the rain calming as well.

I am completely at peace, when I'm hiking and when I'm riding waves. The mountains and the ocean always make me feel as though I am right where I am meant to be. I do like to spend time alone in nature, although, I enjoy experiencing, with others, as well.

I feel that way as well, that nature is extremely calming for me. Besides the mountains or desert, I like the beach because hearing the waves crashing is especially calming. I also love a local wetlands area, as it's a great place to go bird watching. I love to go camping as well, especially where you can see more of the night sky without the light pollution of urban areas.

YEEEEESSSS! I love nature! I detest living in town because it's too noisy and confined and open, but one day I'll live somewhere nice with lots of trees and flowers! :D

Nature is something which is a constant....and it's free, too!

Most things in Nature are much more skillfully crafted than man-made things.

Nature seeks harmony with all.

I certainly enjoy it. Since I live in a rural area surrounded by the woods, sometimes I just go out and sit on our front or back porch and listen to the sounds of nature to help me calm down when I have a panic attack or a meltdown. One of our cats may or may not snuggle with me as I do so.

Oh, Violetvee, I'm so happy for you [and slightly jealous]. You even have a cat! :)

Yeah, it seems to really help me when I'm feeling stressed. The scenery is nice too.

Ahh ... nature ...

There's a mountain-top not too far from here, where the evergreen trees keep the air fresh, there is no sound of traffic (you have to hike in to get there), and the altitude is above the usually smoggy cloud cover.

A perfect place to meditate, sleep, or wander around.

Yeah, definitely. One of the few times I feel comfortable outside of my house is when I'm alone in nature. It's so peaceful and I love watching the animals too.

It know when I take my dog a walk through the streets I need to recover when I get back home however when I take my dog a walk through the bush or a walking trail I come back calmer.

Yes, completely. This was why I learned to wild camp.

I wrote this post a few days ago on a related note, which talks about permaculture and forest gardening, and how this might be an ideal Aspie, indeed Autie more generally, environment: https://wrongplanet.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=296966

It's not "Nature" as such, but it looks to me like a long-term compromise, and one that's a lot better than what we already have to put up with.

Well, I find it calming when I bring a book with me, find a nice place to sit, and zone out for several hours. Shame that there are not many places like that where I can get to them with public transportation. True, I can go to many nature trails, but when the weather is nice, several thousand other people have exactly the same idea.

Yes. Apparently, so do most people.
