Could your recent ASD diagnosis have anything to do with it? I just got my diagnosis confirmation this morning and I immediately got online to book a flight to Bali, despite Denpasar being in lockdown for ISIS terror attack.

Oh yes definitely. And this too. Gosh, I'm so glad I got off the antidepressant merry-go-round years ago. It's a trap.
You must wean off EVER SO SLOWLY and then and even then STILL you will suffer some form of deep depressive withdrawal and loss of soul.
The thing to tell yourself in those darkest times is that it always passes. It always does. Eventually.
To the degree that you resist the pain the more you suffer.
