Regardless, I don't think you should feel bad about your decision.

Are you 29 now? Your profile still says 28.

I just turned 28

Why are you nice to me when most women aren't 0.o

Oh okay, gotcha.

I have no reason to not be nice to you and besides that, I like you, you are my friend :) . You are kind and unlike some of the other people who struggle with relationships, you don't lash out towards the opposite sex or become volatile.
I hope you can have this experience with other girls. I think there's something wrong with a person (female or male) who can treat someone poorly without appropriate provocation.

Happy birthday, sly279!

There are a few problems about being nice to women:

• They'll usually think you're hoping to get into their pants in return and thus avoid you or make you leave if they can.

• If you're clearly not trying to get into their pants, aren't in a relationship and aren't very successful in life, chances are you'll look like a total loser and just invite abuse.

• It's hard to put yourself in their shoes. For example, if they were trying to get into my pants, that would actually be nice to me most of the time. Same if they hugged me out of the blue. Therefore, what is nice to you is a very poor guide to what is nice to them. Also, their shoes would probably hurt.

Being nice to everyone should be a norm, regardless of who you want to have sex with.

If you expect others to be nice to you, some will be nasty just as a way to show defiance, to make the point that they don't need to be nice to you and therefore challenge the tyranny of being told to.

By nice I don't mean an ass kisser, just civil and polite. Is that so much to ask for?

You could just go about being civil to everybody. There's little downside.
