Being an Adult

My definition of adult is less about how you act and more about how you're able to get through life. For me this takes the form of being able to provide for yourself adequately, and the ability to maintain healthy relationships. These, to me are my goals for maybe someday being adult. Before I'm dead.
I fail miserably at being an adult, having been separated and forced to move back with my parents at 38.
It's always been a struggle for me, but I been on my own for most of the time since my early 20s.
But now I have health problems, and working whatever jobs just to pay the rent and bills isn't enough anymore.

That bad.
I know exactly how you feel. I am 23 and I do not feel like an adult nor do I want to be one. Life only gets harder as you get older. I would give anything to go back to the days where I didn't have to worry about anything. So much is expected of you when you become an adult. You are expected to find a career and establish an identity. Life only goes downhill and you just age and get even older. You have to go through so many changes. Believe me, I know exactly what you are going through. You will be ok. I try to keep telling myself that too. I don't have the answers. We were all put on this planet for a purpose and it is up to us to figure out what that purpose is.

You are still young, I'm going be 46 in August, not only life getting harder, my bones & joint feel older than my age. Life is overwhelming right now & I'm depressed, my mom's anniversary of her death is this month. I'm taking life day by day.
