Is this sick, or what?
Christian logic I don't understand:
Positive medical outcome = The power of prayer.
Negative medical outcome = God's will.
What is the point of praying if God is going to do what he wants? Perhaps they believe God can be persuaded to alter his divine plan just for them.

Christian people in medieval Europe blamed Jewish people for the plague. The Christians already thought the Jews were evil and horrible anyway, because they actually took baths (which may be why the Jews very seldom got the plague).
That’s an important lesson we often miss: you can do your homework and thus be prepared to succeed on your individual merits, but they can still overpower you. Being unpopular helps large groups of people who might otherwise be indifferent hate you and eventually get rid of you and your annoying success.

God or not. Peoples’ belief in god has no real reason. They just want to say hurtful things out of whatever emotion they are having. My own mother considers my daughter a punishment from god. She doesn’t understand that by saying that she isn’t excused from being her grandmother and giving her the grandmotherly love.
You can’t force her to love your daughter. Trying to do so will only increase her disdain for her, and probably for you, too.

Why do they need to use religion as a means of discrimination. No religion wants that I am sure.
They don’t need to, but I guess it feels more authoritative to say your discrimination is endorsed by an almighty metaphysical being than admitting you discriminate because you damn well feel like it.

I have always thought of religion as being quite discriminatory.
As in, if you don't believe in our doctrine you are not welcome.
Throughout history, it has also meant that you may be killed, which is about as discriminatory as you can get.

I wouldn't sweat it---you can make that statement a tautology, and therefore true, by defining god appropriately. I, however, wouldn't go to that trouble and then not bother at least to capitalize God.

Well why don't they explain how the lead singer of Behemoth, a metal band I like got cancer and than recovered from it? He's a satanist and he preformed 'satanic' songs while he had cancer, I actually saw the band during that time and it was awesome. But yeah so if you need Jesus to heal from cancer how did this satanist pull it off?

That’s exactly what I’m trying say. That makes them sinners if they understand what they are doing in terms of religion. I guess they are hypocrites if they teach you what they can’t practice.
I don’t care for what my mom says haha. She’s a bit extremist. I guess I’m learning to cope with her behavior now.

Yep like if you’re on the good side you can do whatever you like and then ask god for forgiveness and make others feel bad for their choices. I guess I understand atheists better for that reason. My whole family is atheistic except for my mom and she is a big puzzle for me haha.
