kraftiekortie realistically lets face facts I'll probably never get the chance to go in this lifetime.

Other people feel the same about their own countries. Look at the history of the British Empire... it was made "great" through slave trading, drug running, piracy and general suppression, exploitation and ethnic cleansing... the usual sort of stuff. They never taught me that in history lessons at school.


... anyway, I've been away for a few weeks, welcome back, Twizty.

There are true heroes in every country.....

Martin Luther King, despite his "extra-curricular activities," to me is an American hero.

We've been hearing the "US will collapse" for many years.

It hasn't happened yet.

We have been in worst times than this.

Just about every hero has a nasty side. John Wayne received a medal from Congress for being an "American Hero", but he openly hated blacks. JFK was a WWII hero, who had a string of mistresses since his teen years. MLK wasn't a war hero, but he was also an unfaithful horn-dawg.

I'd rather look up to a horndog or misanthrope than somebody who rapes and kills civilians during wars or tortures POWs to death.

It's sad that you dislike your country like that, I haven't gotten too much into how it works but in my eyes there's just some people who are worse at making a good country than others. PS I think lots of stuff from the US has made my life better and even though It's got a lot of holes on the right side of it I've kept my US t-shirt in the drawer because I think it looks awesome and I don't want it to get thrown out.

If the USA collapses, aspies are probably going to have a very, very, bad time. In fact, we're probably among the first to die in the post-apocalyptic scenario that follows. Actually, it would make for a kind of funny writing prompt, someone should write a story about aspies surving the post-apocalypse and mix it with comedy.

Then throw in some crazy sci-fi. like.... the government had secret bionic eyes technology that made peoples heads explode when they made eye-contact with the bionic eye, but because aspies avoid eye-contact, we've somehow managed to survive and form secret societies under the ruins of civilization.

Then an NT somehow manages to wiggle his way into this secret society, but in a world of aspies everyone assumes he's the crazy one, in a very Omega Man type of scenario. Witch-hunts spring out throughout the aspie society "There's an NT among us!" causing an uproar. The NT is at an advantage because, while the aspies are shooting at him with crossbows and spears, his gambit is to make eye-contact, causing them to look away and miss. Also everyone is extra-clumsy when they try to engage him in melee so he easily dispatches several aspies at once, thereby satisfying the action element of this story.

But eventully, through raw numbers, the aspies finally catch him, they blind-fold him to take away his secret power, and ultimately end up sacrificing him on an altar of their god, Awe-tyr-ism.

Anyways, you don't want society to collapse because that NT could well be a distant relative of yours.

I don't think i would be happy living in any region of the US or any country in the world. There's a**holes and dicks everywhere who love to put people like me down because they are all secretly hoping i'll kill myself so they can have a big laugh about it.

I relate with you so much even though i live in a very different country than US i feel like i live in a cage where i'm born.
