Sadly, I’m not especially interested in trains.
Umm. Maybe you have not found the right type of train yet?
*ahem*

Dr. Freud! Dr. Freud! Paging Dr. Freud!

LOL

Now I’m thinking of the final scene from North by Northwest.

Anyway, that is probably the problem...

You mean the scene where two people are locked in a romantic embrace just as the steam train charges into the tunnel?

Anyway, I don't want to be accused of 'derailing' this thread, so we'd better let it get 'back on track' ...

You shouldnt yell at your mom. She is just trying to do something nice for you. Like the above poster said just hide away somwhere that day. Can you stay at a hotel? That might be a nice retreat. I dont know why you view yourself in such a way. I have no accomplishments other than just basic stuff like being able to do my own laundry, make food etc. You can view your life as if nothing is a miracle or you can view your life as if everything is a miracle. Even little accomplishments like being able to take care of yourself is something to be proud of.

She's been attacking me verbally lately so there is a chance she won't even bother this time around but even if she does, I don't want her to do anything for me.

I've been bullied, mocked, rejected, disregarded, and written off all of my life so that's why I feel despondent all the time. I also hate how my detractors won't leave me alone. One of them (Luhluhluh) has even told me to give up on wanting a girlfriend.

Surely there must be people that are nice to you though.

I am possibly meeting someone I haven't seen since high school tomorrow. I just fear things will end up like they went with my last ex-friend.

It’s always wise to expect the worst at any given moment lest any ray of sunlight might find its way in.

That doesn't sound like you unless you were being sarcastic.

You don't have to celebrate your birthday

Because I don't like being reminded of my age

And no friends

But whatever

Just ignore your mom

She has good intentions

That wasn’t at all awkward when I watched that movie for the first time with my parents.

Back on topic: birthdays.

It’s nice that people want to celebrate your birthday Marknis. Or else you’d be stuck at home alone, like me, watching North by Northwest or out buying a train set...

I don't even go home until late these days. I want my mother and stepfather to either be asleep or zoned out on the TV so I can slip past them.

In the "what's on your mind" thread marknis wrote that marknis' birthday was August 5

It is still June

Sounds, to me, way too early to plan a party or lack thereof

How much $$$$$ did your mom spend on your birthday party last year?

Seriously

I don't ask about that crap nor do I care about it. The event wasn't anything glamorous, it was just at my older brother's business.
