All of this is possible but 2 weeks is a long time to not respond. I am assuming the therapist doesn't have a vacation message on phone or checks her emails or has a secretary.

I would drive by during business hours to check if the therapist is open.

Fair enough. I understand why she's concerned. It doesn't seem like the norm for this therapist.

@ _cora_,

Is this the first time you've left with unscheduled appointments?
If so, perhaps she's always slow in responding but you never had an opportunity to notice?

I don't remember tbh, we usually schedule appointments at the sessions, so maybe it is the first time this has happened. Still though, she has responded quickly when my mom has called her in the past. She does have ADHD and isn't good at remembering this stuff so I will give her more time. She's probably just forgetting that we called her.

Well, after my mom called and texted her many times, she finally responded and scheduled more appointments. But it was a few months ago that I had those appointments, and she gave no explanation at the sessions.

Now she hasn't called my mom back for basically the entire summer. It feels like forever since I last saw her, because it was the beginning of summer. I made so many choices without her that I knew she wouldn't approve of and basically did my own thing, but I guess that's what she gets for not making an effort to stay in contact.
