Do you despair when it's dark out?

I don't necessarily despair, but my problems do seem worse during nighttime. So if I find myself getting depressed, and it's nighttime, I resolve to simply wait until morning. In the meantime, I do something to comfort myself a little, such as play a video game, smoke a cigarette, have a few drinks, and/or pop a melatonin pill. More often than not, I just feel better the next morning.
