No side effects. I think it's working. I had no problem waking up.

Monday I am going to start taking Wellbutrin instead of Pristic. Hope it helps. I guess Pristic was a stronger anti-depressive but I didn't work well with me and it is not helping with my problems. Basicaly I can't read and stay at home the hole day and can't practice sports. :(

You were on Pristiq? what else did it do to you? Side effects? Anything? I wanted Pristiq but thought it muxst be like Lexapro; not covered by insurance; so they would prescribe Effexor instead as they prescribe Celexa instead of Lexapro because Lexapro isn`t covered. So I decided to ask for Effexor. Does Pristiq feel like Effexor or have the same perks/side effects?

Hey I love welbutrin!

I'm on a generic for it and its been working out great.

Does its job for my anxiety, curbs my appetite since I'm trying to lose weight, makes me smoke less, AND.... yes AND it does not kill the libido like past drugs did......
which can be a mixed blessing at times but is still a good thing!

Hope it works out for you as well as it did me!

I've been on Welbutrin for years. I'm on the generic now, but it works just as well.
I'm happy with it. Never really had a bad experience with it.
Best of luck to you! (:

I guess Pristic was one of the best anti-depressives I've taken. I guess it is a new medicine, when I started taking it it wasn't available for sale here so my psychiatrist would give it to me. It is a strong anti-depressive and it seems that in statistical research Pristic has a good performance (it seems to help most patients (more than other anti-depressives I guess) with fewer side effects (my psychologist told me that)). First I was taking a small dose (I guess) 75mg a day, it was all ok and I had no side-effects. Afterwards I had a crisis and my psychitrist had to increase the dose. It didn't worked so well (no anti-depressive effects) and I had some minor side-effects (dry mouth, and my intestine wasn't working so well (annoying)). My psychiatrist told me Pristic seemed to have less side effects than other anti-depressives in the general population, but the side-effects vary depending on the person. I don't know if it feels like Effexor, I've taken Effexor but it was a long time ago.

I'm in my second week with Wellbutrin. In the first week I took 150mg a day, it was fine, I was happier and had more energy. Then in the second week my psychiatrist increased it to 300mg a day, and I felt a lot worse. It seemed that everything that was bad got worse. I have less energy, I'm more nervous and more anxious. Besides that I have dry mouth and I'm feeling some pain in stomach sometimes. :(

I had to go through several different drugs to finally find one that works, and Wellbutrin turned out to be perfect. It doesn't help with anxiety issues, but it does help a lot with depression. I've found that I can concentrate a little better when on Wellbutrin as well. I have a couple weird side effects - my ears ring more than usual, and I've been getting strong phantom smells every so often since I started Wellbutrin.

Wellbutrin was great for the first few weeks—actually, it was the only antidepressant that did anything for me. It made me less depressed and smarter.

But now I've been on it for a few months, and the drowsiness has become unmanageable. Sometimes I sleep 14 hours a day. It could just be the depression getting worse, but either way I'm talking to the psychiatrist about switching my medicine the next time I see him.

Also, I'm sorry to say it, but Wellbutrin smells really bad.

I agree that the SR does, as I was accidentally put on that instead of XL recently by my local pharmacist. However, I'm normally on XL and I haven't had any problems like that.

Actually, a month of SR and Wellbutrin was no longer working at all - I was just getting stomach aches and I was back to being depressed. It's surprising how different SR and XL can be.
