I AM A PATHETIC PIECE OF ****
Don't rip yourself apart. Self hatred won't get you anywhere. If you keep telling yourself that you're worthless and you'll never fit in, then you'll never gain the confidence to improve your situation. You can't change the way others percieve you, you can only change the way you see yourself.

People never forgive it, they tolerate it maybe when your a kid, but in the adult world it becomes a dog and pony(phony) show, it's sad, I do feel your against with Men, Women and those people in-between?. when i was younger, I considered killing myself, but I sucked at it, so I thought... why let them off so easy, if your different, make it work for you or against them, like now I tell a car full of people I thought I was a serial Killer, and watch them sweat something awful.
I sure understand this sentiment. I used to look at myself in the mirror with as much dark hatred for myself as I could muster. I think I was hoping that whatever I hated would get scared and leave and all that would be left of me is something that I didn't hate.
I can't think what changed that made me not despise myself so much. I think that finishing something that you start, like writing a story or building a birdhouse helps take away some of the self hatred.

It varies, small truck and local, the high demand jobs for people who want to stay home, $0.30 a mile, $45,000 to $60.000.
The long haul lonely, California produce to New Your, and back again, $1 a mile.
People in the business of moving things have to keep going, they own a fleet, they would rather own trailers, and deal with tractor owners. Not enough owner operators, growing business, and they have to find someone.
Company trucks are cheap, lots of vibration, but if you are working a run, have something to put down, Peterbuilt, Mack, Freightliner, White, want to meet you, they have a deal. New, with a seat better than anything, viabration blocking, sound proofing, and a sleeper you can live in, with a wife and two kids.
ICC says 10 hours, 550 miles, then you rest, got to keep the logs right.
A new rig is tax deductible, fuel, everything, so the delux model pays.
At 100,000 miles 200 days, it is back to the factory, they tighten rivits, like aircraft service, and by the third refit, it is paid for. Trucks are measured in engines worn out, and they are well cared for, most keep a spare ready to go.
A truck earns several million over it's life. Comapny truck, then a rebuilt as someone uses their writeoff, then new.
You are never home, never any one place, few haul from A to B and back, it is all over. A parked truck is $500 a day being lost, so many look for a second driver, and will give you over the road training, the best, their rig.
Lonely, but beats any towny job.
Between the companies, the makers, and the drivers, the deal is good for all.
So where can we find people who would just as soon never speak to a human, likes machines, has no attachment to any place, and wants to live in the whole country?
More women are driving. Power everything, no roots.
Believe me Mw99, every post of yours that I've read is something that I might have written if I had less impulse control, or something. I guess I've expanded my self-loathing to encompass our entire species instead of just me. I may not care much what happens to me anymore, but I don't care any more about the fate of anyone else either, so we're still on the same level field.
Any sense of self worth comes from the following outlook on my situation: I may never be able to adjust or fit into society, but that also means that in times of crisis where the majority can't cope, I'll be one of the few still be able to function and possibly thrive. I realized this long before I knew what Asperger's was, but now that I know, I'm sure the same goes for most of us on this board.
That's not an incitement to cause a crisis through an act of terrorism, of course; I just mean that if nothing else, we can bide our time. The genes responsible for our condition wouldn't still be so common if they didn't come in handy once or twice a century, right?

I can SO relate. They questioned my intellect and mental health too, and sometimes wondered if I was a danger to society. And they enjoyed it; they found it fun. They got thesee superior, snobbish, cocky smiles on their faces whenever they said something to that effect! Or even when they looked at me when I was looking particularly wierd. Me too; the job thing and the material posessions... I could never concentrate enough to keep a job, and usually couldn't even concentrate enough to find one. I'm overweight too. And no you should not listen to the bullies!
I love your post. Why? Because this is exactly how i've felt for a very long time. Find yourself an aspie friend who can walk you through those things. it's hard to believe but you can improve your happyness/quality of life with some hands on training. msg me or any other aspie willing to help
