I'm really sorry to hear that man. My own cat I had since I was 14, and pretty much the cat that made me really like cats, died a few months ago. Then, both of my dogs died about a month after that. It's really tough.

^ Sorry I called you "man," as I see in your profile now you're female. I need to stop doing that.

That's alright. "Sorry to hear that woman" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Thank you to everyone who's offered their condolences.

He was a black cat with green eyes.

Black cats are great. They have a spooky quality about them. I've never had a black cat. Maybe someday.

I am sorry to hear about your cat, Who_Am_I :(
My own cat died in June of 2006, of an intestinal cancer.
Before he died, we took him to the vet for treatments, but there was really nothing they could do. He became real skinny and you could see a lot of the bones jutting out. It was like he became a skeleton covered with skin, he had become that bad. Before that he was healthy and full of life. We had to have him euthanised to end his suffering. I will never forget his final trip....it was if he came back to life during the car ride there to the vet, he was looking all interested in things outside the window of the car and trying to stay steady on his feet so he could look at things, even though he was dying.
He would have been 16 in October.
I had him cremated and now he is in an urn on my desk.
He was a black and white cat with yellow eyes.

Maybe you could ask the vet to have your cat cremated and put into an urn, that way you can keep them with you if you want.

I'm so sorry. I can't imagine how difficult it must be. I think about my dog and how long she'll be with us and end up crying...

If you need to talk, PM me...

I'm really sorry to hear that.
I like all cats.
I think I know how You feel, my pet died about new years. Now I feel sad when remember him.
