*hugs*
I'm glad you saved her :D

Thank you...I'm glad I did too...

In my early teens back in my country my family and I took a trip to one of the Islands. The island was only accessible by a small charter aircraft (propeller aircraft).

We were on landing approach and the airplane suddenly did a 75 degree dive..nose down. Scared the crap out of everyone.. but nobody screamed or anything it was all too sudden and everyone had just panicked and frozen.

Then the cargo door of the aircraft, in the rear, opened. You could look back and see the sky (it was a prop aircraft flying low altitude so the cabin wasnt pressurized). Some people began crying then.

This all happened in like less than a minute time.

The plane leveled off all the sudden and we touched down seconds after it leveled off.

When we got out of the plane people were still numb from the experience.. and once we were inside the small airport building (it literally was just 1 landing strip with a 2 story building next to it.. very small island airport) we sat down and shaked it out.

later we found out that this was NORMAL. The airfield was next to a mountain side and to land the plane had to slow down, then dive down the mountain slope picking up 'safe landing speed' and touch down otherwise the plane would not have enough landing strip space to brake to a halt.

the 'cargo doors' on the back we saw open werent the cargo doors.. but the CHUTE doors. The cargo doors we were told, would have opened half the tail section not just the upper portion of it which is what people could see when they turned their heads.

would've been nice if they told people that before boarding or doing the dive. Jeebuz.

Future trips I took the ferry boat.

I could name a few impressive moments here. Standing on a very narrow ridge with a 'singing' icepick (that means lightning might strike right there), climbing into a chimney where the rock was so loose stones broke out under my feet where I just stood, skiing in deep mist besides the slope and standing up to my neck in snow that might avalanche. But the truth is while scary at times these are also my precious memories.

Then there are ofcourse the times i brought my girlfriend to the hospital after she overdosed, when I was in a train to go to my mother after her horrible stroke, or having to call the hospital after a police man knocked us out of bed to tell us my girlfriends father had a heartattack (to hear he died of it). But the truth is while these moments were terrible I was too busy staying in control to be scared.

But.... going to school everyday... that was as scary as it gets.....

My scariest moments are quite a few , almost falling off the edge of a waterfall 5 stories high, being beaten by my father daily as a child, escaping a rapist in the woods. to name a few.

I received a text message around 8pm one night a few years ago night from stalker boy, with yet another death threat (another one about cutting my throat). I called the police to report yet another violation of the restraining order, and an officer came to my house just like practically the every other night for the past three months...took my statement and copied the message down, looked around and left. I went to bed at around 9:30, despite the howling wind and ping-ping of rain on my skylights and windows from the Nor'easter outside. I was just barely drifting off, when I heard a loud crash and broken glass hitting my kitchen floor......I think maybe it was a tree branch that broke a window, but then I hear a door open, I hear the crunching of broken glass on the floor and the squeak of wet rubber sneaker soles against the tile floor.....and soon I stop hearing them. He's walking on the carpet now, and only feet from my bedroom door. My door is locked, but he's a big strong guy, and he could break down the door, and he's smart enough to pop a lock if he wanted to. I hear some clicking in the lock.....I get out of bed and reach behind my closet door and grab an aluminium baseball bat.....

So I get out of bed, and hide in the closet. He eventually opens the door, comes into the room, holding my a big Santoku knife from my knife block in my kitchen (didn't he even come prepared?). He didn't realize I wasn't in bed, probably because of the mountain of pillows and comforters piled on my king sized bed. He goes to pull down the blankets and turns his back to the closet.....he bends down over the bed just right, exposing the back of his head to the closet....I emerge and hit him as hard as I could in the back of the head.....he falls and I hit him again. He tries to get up and this time I hit him on the side of the head..... He falls down and hits his head on the corner of my nightstand.....and cracks open another wound on his head. I hit him once more (this time not as hard) and climbed over him....grabbed my phone and ran out of my house..... I have blood all over me.... Then it hits me. I just killed someone...maybe. I run down the block....realize I'm barefoot, in pyjama pants and a tank top, running down the street holding a bloody baseball bat, during a Nor'easter complete with 50mph wind gusts, pouring rain, and an air temperature of barely 40 degrees F.....

I call 911 and a cop arrives in a few minutes, the same one that was there before. I'm unable to speak and all I can do is grunt and point....he doesn't understand until I eventually yell "I just killed him" and regress back to grunting and pointing.

He wasn't dead....but he was not responsive. He was taken to the ICU, and I found out the next day that he had a major concussion, a cracked skull, a broken jaw and needed his orbital to be put back together...My big white fluffy comforters were covered in blood...and there were blood stains on my carpet. Stalker boy spent two weeks in the hospital before they took him to jail. I needed new bedding and a new carpet.

I look back at it now and I must have been scared at some point, but for some reason I didn't panic and was able to defend myself....adrenaline is some serious stuff.

Good for you! I'm glad you were able to defend yourself! You were very lucky to get away alive. I am glad to hear you escaped unharmed .

luckily the person who came after me in the woods wasn't violent and I got away without having to be violent in return. But if he had tried to do anything to me I know I would have responded the same way. I used my brains to get out of my situation, plus I think the man was on drugs so it made it easer to get away. I wasn't harmed just a little frazzled.

I am very glad you got away , I couldn't imagine how scared you must have been.

This is OUTSTANDING, when dealing with a Psychopath you must make them believe in their own mortality. By realizing that T.J. Hooker was not their to save you, you saved yourself. All you Aspies who have been bullied learn this NO ONE ELSE WILL SAVE YOU!

Now that was a scary moment. 8O

I'm glad you're okay. Mine doesn't even compare. You have to do what you can to defend yourself and you did.
